If the Brady ruling is overturned does it taint last season?

One judge overturns a league suspension that I think any reasonable person would say was justified. Maybe there were minor holes in the investigation/ report but the texts/ discussions with the equipment manager and destruction of the phone pretty much tell the story. Like I didn't need the OJ knife to be real and have his fingerprints on it to know he killed her. So if the league is vindicated in the coming months and he is suspended, doesn't that cast a major competitive shadow on last season. I don't see any way the Steelers wouldn't have won on opening night and I think that changes a lot in their season.
I think the NFL and the NFLPA needs to establish a standing board of reference when a dispute occurs between the league and the PA. One set of three judges that will hear this **** and decide. Not go find yourself a sympathetic judge as has been the case in the past.

It does not have anything to do with the Steelers. Sure they may have won, but they failed to take care of their own business down the road. We just had to beat a terrible ravens team and failed. If it was not for the bills they would not have made it to the playoffs. We also did not lose to the pats in the playoffs so whatever happened last year still would have happened. Pats would have won the division and we lost to the broncos in the playoffs. I think deflategate is a big waste of time and money. Did they deflate the footballs, more than likely, but it is near impossible to prove and it did not really have an effect on games.

The cheatriots have and will always be remebered for their cheating ways.............more than just inlast years season.

Salute the nation

I still say there is a domino effect there. And not just The Steelers. The Jets finished 2 games back of the Pats. I think it is very conceivable that the Pats would have lost two of four without Brady. Being the Steelers and Bills. Probably still beat Jax and Romoless Cowboys.

I forgot about it already. Ever since they swept spygate under the rug with the blessing of the Rooney's I have looked at football differently. I see now it has always been about the owners making money not about us fans. Weird that it took something like that to actually open my eyes. I would like to still call myself a diehard football fan but I don't have the passion for the game anymore like I use to. I follow the Steelers and that is about it. I watch only one game a week anymore. ....So F'k Goodell and anything that has to do with the Pats****. And yes. I give the Rooney's blame also. They owed it to their fans to get to the bottom of spygate but like any smart business owner they went a long with damage control to lessen the loss of the big $$$$.

Not worried about it either way. Denver won the super bowl anyway, not those cheaters

Doesn't matter. The league did nothing about stripping the Cheatriots of their first 3 SB's when they were caught cheating in a major way.

Deflating the balls is the one thing the court can try to overturn but they cannot or should not be able to overturn any penalty for Brady being uncooperative in the investigation. That is at sole discretion of the league. That is why I have said this countless times. This is a very dangerous precedent if the court upholds this in full. All other cases will then question whether the league has the right to enforce any rule on the books.

Wig looks over the thread and sadly shakes his furrowed brow.

"Is the P*ts season tainted?"

You've GOT to be ******* kidding me?

For real...it goes wayyyyy beyond the season. Their entire legacy is tainted going back to "the tuck" as far as I'm concerned!!!
