The Pittsburgh Steelers had good and bad news with their Thursday injury report as they plan to take on the Green Bay Packers this Sunday at Lambeau Field. Wide receiver Chase Claypool was added to the report with a hamstring injury. Claypool was in and out of the game on Sunday, so it’s not a huge surprise Claypool landed on the report. JuJu Smith-Schuster was upgraded to limited today, so his outlook for Sunday is improving.
Ben Roethlisberger was upgraded to a full participant on Thursday as was starting wide receiver Diontae Johnson. Perhaps the best news of the day was TJ Watt was upgraded to a full participant. He was questionable heading into the matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals last week, but ultimately was held out. However, it appears Watt is on a trajectory to be full go against the Packers. Running mate Alex Highsmith was a limited participant for the second day in a row, so his availability for Sunday is still up in the air.
Look for the final report on Friday to clear up some question marks, but the Steelers seem like they might be back at full strength on Sunday in Green Bay.
