2-day security drill said underway in Tehran, day after reports Iran raised defense alert at nuclear facilities for fear of Israeli attack

Escalating Iran’s rhetoric against Israel, a senior commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps vowed Wednesday that the regime would boost its military capabilities relentlessly until Israel was destroyed.

“The Islamic Revolution will continue enhancing its preparedness until it overthrows Israel and liberates Palestine,” the IRGC’s Tehran province commander, Brigadier General Mohsen Kazzemeini, said in an address in Tehran, the semi-state Fars news agency reported.

He also vowed that Iran would maintain its aid to those who fight Israel. “We will continue defending not just our own country, but also all the oppressed people of the world, specially those countries that are standing on the forefront of confrontation with the Zionists,” Kazzemeini said.

Kazzemeini was speaking as Iran started two days of major drills in the capital, involving 250,000 personnel, designed to “practice fighting against security threats,” Fars said.

This is inconceivable. Wait, "inconceivable" means "completely expected", right?

You do realize that 20,000 Jews live peacefully in Iran.

The bluster of one official is as meaningful as say the bluster of Trump.

You do realize that has no bearing on the fact that most in that region want to see Israel destroyed, the whole concept of a Jewish State offends them

If you can somehow force a liberal into a point-counterpoint argument, his retorts will bear no relation to what you’ve said — In the famous liberal two-step, they leap from one idiotic point to the next, so you can never nail them. It’s like arguing with someone with Attention Deficit Disorder

I'm curious as to how one physically gets one's head this far up one's own ***.

Bomma is never wrong. He is the First Black President and you're a racist.

So how did Bush letting them develop all those centrifuges help Israel?

I suppose Bush letting North Korea have nuclear weapons was a positive development as well?

Invading Iraq was the whole start to the nuclear race. Do you think Iran and North Korea thought if he can evade them, are we
next and what do we need to prevent an invasion?.

Answer your own damned questions!!! LEARN FROM IT,

So let me get this correct on this wonderful deal our supreme leader put through. So far Iran has said **** America they are our enemy, **** inspections to our sites we had our fingers crossed, and now let's build up the military so we can wipe out them Jews. Hmm. Sounds like we did well

Holy crap! Stewey is Nostradamus.

When libtards are confronted with facts proving that their libtard leaders are domestic terrorists who also support global Islamic terrorism they simply blame Bush.

It does kind of make sense that if there are political leaders in Iran that DON'T like the nuclear deal, this would be the exact rhetoric they would use, correct?

If anything, doesn't this show that the nuclear weapon is really off the table if the more radical elements of their government are now implying they have to build up their conventional weapons to do what they used to want a warhead to do? That was the point of a "deal", wasn't it?

What deal was EVER going to make Iran more tolerant of Israel? Was that really what you think we were negotiating?

Sometimes I just don't understand you guys. Do you really think a Republican negotiator would topple the Ayatollah, make Iran tolerant of all things Israel, take away all nuclear weapons and conventional weapons - basically cut their balls off in the region - and Iran was just going to roll over and say "thank you"?

You guys are delusional.

I mean, if you want to go to war with Iran. A country that is 4 times as large (area) and twice the population as Iraq, just come out and say it. If we could barely keep down the insurgency in Iraq with 200,000 soldiers, what kind of ground force are you proposing for Iran? 500,000?

We've seen what happens in the region if you start toppling the dictators and autocracies. It ends up being chaos, anarchy and even more radical islamic elements. It certainly isn't democracy.

You want to open up the majority Shiite muslims to even more crazies than the Ayatollah? That's safer for Israel, really?

Much of the population of Iran doesn't like their leadership. I don't think it would take that much. Remember, when **** got real Iraq surrendered pretty quickly too.

you do realize we successfully negotiated to allow one of our sworn enemies to possess the ability to annhiliate by nuclear weaponry our one and only democratic ally in the region, correct?

No, I don't know that. That's not what the deal says. That's not what 5 other countries that helped negotiate say is in the deal.

That's only what YOU say and a bunch of sky-is-falling right wing bologna that I severely doubt will ever happen.

I guess we'll see what happens in the next decade, but I doubt if any war involving Iran can be pinned down to this deal being a major cause. I just think that's silly talk.

These are our “friends” that Obama and Kerry want to give billions of $$$ and missle defense systems to

Iran Promises to ‘Set Fire’ to U.S. Interests

A senior Iranian military official has vowed to “set fire” to all U.S. interests in the region and maintained that the Islamic Republic welcomes war with America, according to regional reports demonstrating that Tehran is still committed to fighting the United States in the wake of a recently inked nuclear accord.

“In threatening remarks,” a top Iranian commander of the Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated that Iran is prepared to “annihilate” U.S. and Israeli war forces should they “take the slightest military move against Iran,” according to Iran’s state-controlled Fars News Agency.

When I look for friends, I ensure they want to stick a hot fork in my ***, rape my wife, burn down my home, kill my other friends. To me, that's a friend

Osama Bin Laden told the US that he would attack us. No one took him seriously, well, not enough to take him out. As a result, look where we are today. And that was one man. Now, we are dealing with the leaders of state run terrorism, with nuclear weapons, who's theology requires them to destroy Israel, and you don't think that's a possibillity?

Barry doesn't play for team USA. That's crystal clear. He certainly isn't a friend to Israel in any way, shape or form.

Israel will not exist in another quarter century, Iran's supreme leader, the Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, said during a speech this week in Tehran, state-run media report.

"I'd say (to Israel) that they will not see (the end) of these 25 years," the Islamic Republic News Agency quoted Khamenei as saying Wednesday at the Imam Khomeini Mosque.

Khamenei raised the issue while discussing the recent nuclear deal between Iran and the so-called P5+1 -- the United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany, China and Russia -- by which, among other things, Iran agreed to cut its uranium stockpiles and centrifuges and limit uranium enrichment in exchange for the West lifting sanctions against the Islamic Republic.

A nonprofit group in Colorado is out with a “shocking new ad” hitting incumbent Democratic Sen. Michael Bennet for his support of the Iran nuclear agreement.

The 30-second spot shows children from around the world counting down from 10 in English, Hebrew, German, Spanish, Arabic, Italian, Russian, Chinese, and Swedish.
