Saw he has been full participant but doesn't he have to be removed from IR designated to return? Is he in tomorrow night. I know they are not a championship caliber team by any means but still in playoff if not Division hunt and he us a big expensive piece.

He’s already been removed from IR and has been declared designated to return.

I think he does not play Thursday night, but next week he does. If he does play tonight, it will be very limited snap count. My guess is 10-15 snaps.

Salute the nation

I at first thought no way he plays but sounding like he’ll play now. As someone mentioned probably about 20 snaps.

I've heard nothing but not practicing assuming similar to DJ. Bad year for hammys.
Seems like every year it’s a bad year teamwise for one soft tissue injury or another. They might want to look into why.

Groins and hammys more and more as each year goes by. There has to be a cause. This year there have been so many players (not just for the Steelers) going on IR for 4 games for a hammy. Muuth missed games and then reaggravated his and will end up missing most of this year due to a hammy.

I haven't seen any stats/comparisons to other seasons on hammy injuries, but they seem about average to me. Every year there are always a handful effecting a group of players, and oftentimes, several players "reinjure" their hammies like Muth did. The Steelers seem to rush some players back from injuries at times.

Maybe but they seem to have gotten much worse over the past 5 years or so. Could have something to do with lack of allowed practice, supplements being taken or not taken, etc.

Muth's situation makes me question medical staff. With all the scans and tests. That usually does not but can happen.
