I don’t thin k you can carry players, but they weren’t going to call that. Same as push player advancement is illegals but it isn’t called. The tush push is an illegal play but the League has ignored it due to the popularity of the fan’s liking it.

I thought it was outrageous. Forward progress stopped, knocked backward. Player picks him up before he hits the ground and pushes him over bodies for a first down. No one gives a **** what I think.
What was more outrageous, though, was the personal foul play when Jack hit a sliding Josh Allen. The ENTIRE offensive line was moving at the snap. Shoulda been whistled dead.

And it's because the tush push is an offensive play. The fans love great defensive play, but If a defensive player looks at an opposing player with as much as a frown the flag comes out and it's unsportsmanlike conduct.

rule of thumb, anything good for the offense is legal. LB with a momentary tug on the facemask of a RB is a penalty. Next play the RB straight arms that LB to the facemask, snapping his head back, and that's just fine.
I don't even know what is legal anymore. But I know that will nor be legal along with the brotherly shove snd the rest of it.
