We just signed a free agent outside linebacker and have spent a 4th round pick on one… we don’t historically carry 5 for some reason, so barring injury this won’t happen

Simmons has played both outside linebacker and inside linebacker while in AZ. The point in the SI article was that AZ stunted his growth at both by moving him around so much and that the writer believes he should be playing ILB.

There was that one LB from a few years ago that was not used properly, that came to the Steelers and had quite the positive influence.
 
Yeah i guess.. right now I see it as Roberts and Holcomb are the starters. Robinson is going to basically inherit Spillanes backup role, and Muse is a better version of Marcis Allen for coverage and special teams… but tgere certainly is room for a fifth ilb… I thought that was Crowder until they cut him….

I think he came from way more North and way more East, than Arizona………………..
