In another example of how the Department of Homeland Security has expanded far outside the purview of its original function, six vehicles full of DHS agents were required to seize a Land Rover from a couple in Statesville, N.C. due to the fact that the vehicle allegedly violates EPA emission standards.
Edit. I normally can't view videos due to slow internet so didn't even try until after I posted. So in the spirit of full disclosure I see now that the vin numbers may have been tampered with.
However that changes nothing. At best that would be something for state police to deal with not the federal government. And, in light of the border issue and many, many others is this really a good use of the DHS's time and budget? Why would they even be involved? Too much time on their hands? 6 vehicles of LE personnel?
