We'd have two ILBs with bad wheels. Martinez is still working his way back from a torn ACL.
Signing Jones after being let go by 3 teams including the Steelers must mean Tuszka must have been awful.

I already have anxiety issues with this team, please don't push me over the edge.
This move is kind of like a camp body. They are trading one scrub for another. Not sure it will make any difference at all.

I think Jones flashes more pass rushing potential but tuszkas offered them last year a backup with NFL minutes and I guess better experience at run defense. With the acquisition of a proven player like Reed you can have a project like Jones as the 4th OLB

Reed was the good pickup at OLB. He will be our main backup. I think he exceeds his sack average and puts up more than 5 sacks this year.

Agree that Reed was an excellent pickup
96 tackles 13 sacks and 3 FF over the last 2 years compared to Highsmith 122 tackles 8 sacks and 1 FF would suggest him to be every bit the impact player that Highsmith is. It doesn’t look like there is one bit of drop off between the two and ya gotta love that he agrees to restructure for less to come here as his first great move for the team!
And we gave up dirt to get him-solid move by Kahnlin
