He won't be a free agent for another 4 years. Why the hell would give up what he has right now?
If the front office approaches these guys the right way, there is a chance they could all be kept at a decent price if they wanted to stay together. Unless we draft another great prospect at qb soon we will have nothing to keep them here as receivers are of no value if you have laundry jones throwing to them. They may only last as long as Ben is having a good year and if we go till he drops off big we are likely going for a big dry spell.
That is just stunning newsI see no reason why Ben won't play till he's 40. Brady and Manning are 5 and 6 years older than him but still playing at a high level. Ben's got the arm and guts to keep on going. In today's super soft league I think most successful QB's will start to play into their 40s. Throw in the medical technology that helps players recover, and it's quite feasible that Ben plays another 7 strong seasons.
