Jerry Rice: "Brown is killing it right now"

here is another one you might like http://www.Invalid Link - Check SN ...inks-antonio-brown-best-young-receivers-game/
In the bottom of that article it says brown is on pace for 126 catches this year, which would be 4 more than Rices best year!

Nice read...we all know AB is a special player.

Brown/Bryant starting duo with Wheaton in the slot is a very dangerous combination of young talent.

Thing is, receivers love that coin. And they have massive market value. So while I think that group could wreck the record books for years to come, I think we're going to lose Brown the second he becomes a free agent.

He won't be a free agent for another 4 years. Why the hell would give up what he has right now?

I wouldn't. I'm glad you knew about his contract, I didn't. That's very good news.

If the front office approaches these guys the right way, there is a chance they could all be kept at a decent price if they wanted to stay together. Unless we draft another great prospect at qb soon we will have nothing to keep them here as receivers are of no value if you have laundry jones throwing to them. They may only last as long as Ben is having a good year and if we go till he drops off big we are likely going for a big dry spell.

I see no reason why Ben won't play till he's 40. Brady and Manning are 5 and 6 years older than him but still playing at a high level. Ben's got the arm and guts to keep on going. In today's super soft league I think most successful QB's will start to play into their 40s. Throw in the medical technology that helps players recover, and it's quite feasible that Ben plays another 7 strong seasons.

That is just stunning news

What's stunning is how you "don't advocate trading Ben", yet you never miss an oppurtunity to bring it up.

This thread is titled trade Ben Now, it is the topic of discussion. The point is if... let me put that out really bigIF a trade is to take place or be considered it will have to be while he is playing well or no one other than the madden players on here will want to do it. There is a time window for it to exist as one of many options and I believe the only time it could take place would be in the next two years. After that he will not have enough trade value to make what would likely be a worth while deal. In essence once that window closes we keep him till the wheels fall off and hope we don't carry lots of dead money forward that causes lots of cap issues. Next year we still have 8 million from Woodley on the books for one example.

Wrong thread, let me sit corrected this was in response to the why I bring it up response after I expressed doubts that Ben would play till he was 40. And I just went back through the whole thread and did not read anything I posted that said trade Ben. Sorry for reading your post and thinking we were in the trade Ben Now thread. Go ahead with your Pom Poms hell why stop at 40 social security doesn't kick in until 62.

Lol back on topic... IMO Brown is going to have a monster day fairly soon. If bryant catches a couple more TDs and long passes and keeps getting open as much as he is, teams are going to try to single cover Brown more, because for as great as he is, Bryant may be the better deep threat. Brown in single coverage is going to be unstoppable. He is going to have a 200+ yard day between now and the end of the season... the only good pass D we face is the Bengals....
