Would you trade either Mitch or Mason and if so what would you need to get for them?

Readying the interwebs I have seen Roethlisberger, Rivers, Rudolph, Trubisky, Kaepernick, Brady, Cousins, Wentz, Ryan, etc. So would you trade one of our depth players for a draft pick? I would probably trade Mitch for a 4th and Mason for a 5th.

Its midseason so trading either before the deadline should require a massive overpayment that nobody is going to want to pay. Why would you deal either for less than a fourth?… and honestly for mitch you’d want more because he is under contract and the 2.
Picks don’t help midseason when you are trying to find a replacement qb… and furthermore why would you even want to help the jets?

Screw that if they want someone, make em pay a premium pick that will help for years…

No, not now.

Rudolph for a 5th round pick and a Chicago hot dog with a bag of Miss Vicki's jalapeño potato chips.
Realistically it is a stretch to even get a 7th for Rudy the red nosed third stringer. Then it comes down to not depleting depth for a late rounder. This discussion is beaten to death as it was already covered in the off-season.

I think trading Rudolph for a 5th is probably a round above his value and Trubisky for a 4th is a round above his. We’re rebuilding so getting picks is key. Maybe khan can throw a conditional late round for being activated on game day and if they play xx percent of snaps then the primary pick gets bumped up a round. So Rudolph at 50% of snaps go to a 4th and Trubisky plays 50% goes to a 3rd. But that would be magic by Khan.

I gotta say no - no disrespect to you. These QB's are familiar with the team and coaches. An old saying in racing is "Run what ya brung." Besides, Kenny is the starter, and we've had all off-season for this stuff. :)

A fifth isnt good enough for a qb right now… unless you are out of contention already…
The Steelers are not in rebuilding mode regardless of what fans think…. Last year they supposedly turned down low round offers for Rudolph for similar reasons.
Of they had a PS option available it might be different… but they don’t and they aren’t going to shorthand themselves without an overpayment…

Remember 5-7th round picks are extremely low percentage picks… less than 17% of them are worthwhile at all…
Yes, but it’s a numbers game. That’s why I love that Khan traded Green instead of just releasing him. A 2025 6th isn’t much but come 2025 who knows. Maybe we get lucky and draft AB.
I understand having depth is nice but if we’re sold on Pickett then lets just ride with him and have one good backup.

I am pretty sure the Jets are not sold on Wilson, but he is their best option right now. No team on earth should be considering Wentz right now he is just terrible and has received multiple shots. Ben is not coming out of retirement and no idea how people think they could even work in a Brady or Ben contract. I doubt they will give up much on a trade for anyone right now unless Wilson goes down then they will have no choice. I wouldnt trade Mitch to them for less than a 3rd, maybe a 5th for Rudolph.

Relax. I don’t think Khan is giving up Trubisky just yet-unless it’s an offer he can’t refuse. Giving up Trubisky is signaling the Steelers think their season may be over. You want to keep a good back up on your roster. It ain’t Mason. Nobody wanted to sign him as a free agent, nobody wanted to trade for him. After the Detroit tie, Yinzernation was all but volunteering to pack up Rudolph’s house and driving his moving truck out of Pittsburgh.

Rudy won’t bring a 4th and the STEELERS would be crazy to let him go for less.

SO, we have our 3rd string QB for the season and are set.

But if he did the Steelers would be ruh-tarded not to take it lol

Right… the issue is that what the value is to the steelers is way higher than his street value… had the Steelers claimed. Just like with trabisky

It might be different had they done something like claimed Zappe when he got waived or convinced him to sign on to the PS

Exactly, This may very well be Rudy’s last season in NFL. If by chance he signs REAL cheap, he may gert another year in PITTSBURGH.

I don’t think Rudy would get a bag of deflated footballs in return. Rudy has one of the prettiest long passes I’ve ever seen. The thing that I still see is when he gets his the deer in the headlights look (he had a few of them this preseason) and that Detroit tie will forever haunt him. The only way I see someone even entertaining trading for him would be in desperation and with an offer of a compensatory pick in the 7th round of the truck stop hot dog machine draft. Now if for some how, Pickett and Trubisky both go down this season and Rudy strings together a nice game or 2, he could gain some interest. Until then…
