Jim Rome On Steelers - Pats

Preface to this response: Tomlin is not getting fired. That having been said, if Tomlin could ever possibly be fired this would be the moment. It won't be. But even with the most patient of franchises this would be the death knell of a head coach.

This team has NO identity other than BS. And that makes sense ... the players are following the coaching.

Will NOT happen till after the season. Things could change by then, but highly doubt they change enough to keep him.

Each year he is kept sets us two years back. ONLY scenario he is kept, is if He is told who the OC & DC will be and an adequate coaching staff hired.

We all know this won't happen, either through stubbornness or the possibility that no quality assistant wants any part of this team.
 
Last week Cardinals were the #30 team in the Power Rankings, this week New England was #32 in the Power Rankings...somehow I think the Steelers might rank at #33 this week.

The saddest part of all of this, is that the Steelers identity has now almost completely been erased. And I don't know if they'll ever go back to it. I don't know if they'll ever be a hard nosed, dominant, defensive, grind-it-out team again. And sure, maybe the league is changed and that can't win anymore. I just mean I don't know if they'll ever be a dominant, aggressive team again.

Seriously, this is how you become the Browns. I just hope we as fans can be as faithful and patient as Brown's fans have.

And on a side note, Matt Canada must be laughing his *** off.

Better yet......somebody with great hacker skills should hack into that giant scoreboard and play this radio commentary during the game. Tomlin and his arrogant absolute bull-**** deserves a little slap back for all his tidbits he likes to throw back at all us lesser folks. Never mind that depressing product he is the architect of on the field.

It’s kind of funny. Many,many have been saying what Jim Rome just said for years. We just don’t have a top rated radio show🤪 I was done with Mike January 8/2012. But have always tried to give him a chance to prove me wrong. He hasn’t. It’s about high time the national media does a little deeper dive into The Mike Tomlin show. They might actually discover how truly average he and his teams have been.

And I would stress "have been." He inherited a boat load of talent, coaches, veteran leadership and lightning struck for a SB. Kudos for not mucking that up. But ever since then, pure mediocrity in team management, direction, development and coaching. Have you heard what our own team players have been saying? We "weren't prepared to play vs AZ?" We "took AZ too lightly?" We aren't "prepared properly" to earn a win? That's the team Shades has brought to us. THAT team.

We have the new GM, my only hope…and only a small flicker of hope the offseason brings changes

Maybe give the Khanman a crack at finding a new HC and be involved in the OC/DC hires after attaining said new HC. He did pretty well drafting and in free agency

Anything less is bandaids on bullet holes and has become completely unwatchable
