Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback, Joe Haden spoke to the media this week in regards to the loss vs. the Green Bay Packers last Sunday. Haden has also been pretty vocal on social media, specifically about the blocked field goal that was called back on the Steelers just before halftime.

I wasn’t offsides.

During his time with the media, Haden expressed his confidence in the defense and how they can “weather the storm.” Haden believes this team still has some fight in them, and that they can compete with anybody.

“I’m not in the least bit wavered at all. I’ve been in this league for a long time. It’s so much parody in the NFL that it’s 1-2 plays. It’s not like we’re ever getting blown out. We’re always in the game. So you know, it’s two plays here or there, and we can have a completely different record. So just keeping that mindset, and being able to know, we coming in here today [on a Monday], studying the tape, and then we’re getting to Denver. We feel like we can win any game that we play. I’m locked in.”

“Short term memory” as Haden also put on his Twitter account, and it’s onto Denver. The more and more the players continue to show this type of confidence in themselves, the more hope it gives me personally that this team might actually be able to turn it around. That’s a big “might” though.

The Steelers currently sit at 19th in the league in pass yardage allowed on defense, and 11th in rush yardage allowed heading into Week 5 — plenty of room for improvement (especially in pass defense) as they finished the 2020 regular season ranked 3rd.

Despite the hiccups on defense, it’s clear the offense of this team is more of the concern. They’re currently 16th in pass yardage, and dead last (32nd) rushing the ball. That’s usually a recipe for disaster, and in this case, it’s led to a 1-3 start for the franchise. The last time the Steelers were 1-3 (2013, 2018, 2019), they missed they playoffs each time.

Just get the W this weekend and we're 2-3, that's not terrible. 1-4 is terrible.

I like the attitude and I'm hoping it's infectious !!!!!!!!
