I just saw this on Facebook and thought I'd post here:

Joey Porter Jr. through three games:

• 45 coverage snaps
• 5 targets
• 1 reception allowed (12 yards)
• 1 pass defensed
• 39.6 passer rating allowed

That is the LOWEST passer rating any rookie CB has allowed this season (min. 32 snaps).

Yep---his play to this point exceeds the expectation I had for him.....
But want the duck do I know ....

Nice find, thanks for posting

I just thought he had a totally clean play and the one they bitched PI on against Stains.

With the penalty called, that play comes off the books, thus not a pass defensed.

Why isn't he played more ?

I mentioned it during the game that he should have been in there on Adams. With his arm length and physicality, they should have had him tight at the line to get a good jam on him and then cover with someone over the top. This would have disrupted his and Jimmy G's timing enough for our pass rush to get there more often. But, we never do that so wishful thinking anyhow.

Currently, he is only in the Dime package, when we go with an Extra D back, bring porter in and slide PP inside.

I think he also took one snap for Wallace when he was banged up in the Raiders game for a play.

If Wallace sucked, he'd be in. Wallace is doing good enough and stealing some footballs, so I like his trend right now.

Good thing is this was a depth draft. We didn't need anyone to start since we filled all holes and depth in FA this year. Any playing time this year is a bonus for these guys.

Keanu is getting the most snaps thus far on D 34% (2% ST) Porter 21% (16% ST) Nick H 20% (76% ST leads the team) .
Washington leads on O 44% (30% ST), Jones 2% (11% ST), and Anderson 0% (inactive) Trice is on IR.

Washington leading is big, but even bigger that Nick leads the entire team in ST snaps!

I would move JPJ opposite of Wallace in nickel and then use Pat Pete as a robber/rover DB.

I know it's a video game but...

I moved Pat P inside to the nickel backer and JP2 outside with Levi.

I won 13 games straight until the rosters were updated yesterday and I didn't realize it until I was down by 14...

Switched back and the domination continued!!!

He has gone 7 then 14 to 27 snaps. Seems like a good progression that should have him starting by mid season and doing so comfortably. I am ok with this trend if it continues.

In just a short time you have seen the value of Porter's wingspan. That'll be a game changer once he gets up to NFL speed and more playing time.
