and if this years team cannot make the playoffs then they literally freaking suck. No excuse for not making the playoffs with that schedule.

This is a stupid premise, though.
Who in the hell are you to say is a good or bad team, 2 games into the season?!
If the Bills were on the schedule, would you say that is a 'winnable' game? How about the Saints?!
Anybody that can't look at the schedule and see that it was almost tailor made for the Steelers is huge homer. They start off the year with the clowns. They leave the eastern time zone ONCE and that is just to the central time zone to play the ****. No west coast trips or even mountain time trips. No Denver, pats*, Seattle, SD, SF etc... They play a lot of average QBs and even get the Saints at home in Dec.
I know everyone talks about them struggling with bad teams. Almost all their wins last year were against bad teams. They beat the clowns twice, rats once, bungles once, Jets, Bills, and Packers playing with a 4th round QB. The only "good" team they really beat was the Lions and their defense was hammered in that game.
This year's schedule shouldn't be that difficult. Even if they lose to Carolina they should be 5-2 heading into the HOME game with Indy. Another dome team playing outside in Pittsburgh. No reason not to be 10-6 this year. You can't find any worse teams in the NFL than Jax, TB, and the clowns.
But thats the thing- Other than Den and Seattle, how many teams can you say are definitely going to be great, or definitely going to be sh*tty?
Discussing SoS prior to week 6 (or at least until week 4) is the dumbest exercise. Because it literally means nothing.
But I keep forgetting that we have a couple of pro scouts on this board who already know the skill level of every team and watch hours of game tape a week..

The Browns may actually be pretty good this year. They run the ball and play defense, they're 4-1 dating back to last season with Hoyer at QB, and could VERY easily be 5-0.
The issue with the "the schedule dictates they should win X amount of games" argument is that the Steelers do not seem to be very good themselves. I'm sure many fans of decent teams around the league are now looking at the Steelers on their schedule as a game their team "should win."
They maybe 4-1 but those games are 7 games apart. So they lost 8 straight games between times. He is also getting credit for 4 wins when he had nothing to do with 1 of them. He got hurt against Buffalo and was 2 of 4 for 25 yards. He had nothing to do with the win in that game. The clowns are still the clowns.
I'm not saying that the Steelers are a great team. But I'm not sure of an easier schedule that they could have had this year. I think the Steelers are an average team with a franchise QB. Which should be good enough to make the playoffs.
We'll just agree to disagree on the Browns. I think they're a very talented team that can win 9 or 10 games with any semblance of stability at the QB position. Hoyer isn't great, but I think he can be competent enough for the rest of talent on their roster to not go to waste.
I'm not sure I'd even label the Steelers average at this point. Roethlisberger's good, but he has yet to prove he can consistently win without an elite defense, much less a terrible unit like the one they have currently.
Yeah, there are few top notch QBs on the Steelers schedule, but as last season and the first two games of this season have illustrated, one does not need a top 10 passer to work the Steelers defense over anymore.
I think this is only a five or six win team, unless they soon exhibit something that makes me change my mind.
That is a lot of rushing. May be cause for concern...I just don't see it with the clowns. They are already 32nd in yards allowed. They've given up 54 points in 2 games. They've give up 600 passing yards and 300 yards rushing in just two games. I thought they had a great defense? They are actually worse than the Steelers who've only allowed 364 yards rushing and 348 rushing.
We will see how they do. I think they can beat a few teams on the schedule but I don't expect 10 wins from them.

Bigyapper you're a tool. Everybody can see the cream puff schedule.

Can't stand Al Michaels. That OJ-loving, bad dental bridge-wearing idiot needs to retire.
