DJ, Pickens, Claypool, Gunner (ST ace), Austin III, Sims, Boykins. This at the expense of one of the OL, I mean, anyway they all suck and no one is taking them.

After the 53 roster is set, get Austin IRd and then the FO go get a cut OL from another team, or any of our own scrubs. Then you are back at 6 WRs in the roster. No harm, no risk of losing talent.

Another option is to trade one (Claypool if there's a real good offer for him, or one of the fringe players) in exchange for depth where it's more needed, like OL and or ILB

That is an interesting idea… I don’t think they are going to Ir Austin though… but id be on board 100%

what would be the benefit of waiting to IR Austin?

Great Idea Litos and we sure as hell need an offensive line man from outside organization.

Salute the nation

Searching for offensive linemen at this point means we are in trouble. Just like last year.

Just saw that kozora post an article today in the morning with practically the same idea to keep 7 and IR CA III, I swear I hadn't read that. Just to let you guys know I ain't plagiarizing anyone, just a coincidence.

The only problem with this is if CA3 isn’t going to be out for a long time, you waste one of the 8 designation to return labels right off the bat… and Kazee probably is getting one too

Even if gets healthy soon, the kid is a rookie and missed all preseason games. He shouldn't be above the other guys, he probably needs some weeks to get fit and ready for game speed.

But MT still does not have a losing season, and that is what really matters to Dooki Rooney

We are surprisingly deep at WR. Vaughns can play in this league as well as Cody White. Tough cuts, but I think Boykin has shown he's a ST stud and a hard nosed sure handed catcher in this system. Something a Ravens fan would never call them, but then again we don't have a running back throwing the football...

Claypool ain't getting traded especially with DJ's health a question. He hurt himself when he was landed on after that big catch. I've seen that shoulder/TC joint end seasons for WRs, but hopefully it was mild. Dude is a stud, that was an AB catch guys. We forget he's not a short are quickness guy only, he can get open deep, if we only get some time from the line...

I like where your head is at Litos. As much as I think Chase seems poised for a good season (with his head hopefully on straight) I would fully endorse the idea of trading him for an actual legit lineman.

Without an OL none of it is going to matter anyways.

I like the idea of keeping guys like Sims that earned a spot from what I saw (unless he could bring back an OL in trade) And I can’t possibly see anymore than 8 OL on the roster as there aren’t even 5 currently worth keeping…they will make the roster from necessity though as 5 guys OBVIOUSLY haven’t EARNED a roster spot there.

Think Boykin could be an odd man out just to allocate that money to a FA OL if they do only keep 6.

Good idea, a Rudolph + boykin package should bring a decent OLineman
