Kwon Alexander tore his Achillies… out for season

Schefter reporting that Alexander has a torn Achilles and is out for the season. Steelers are now absolutely decimated at ILB.
The Ilbs were ok but now the position is decimated…
Well that sucks, a position of depth earlier is now pretty thin.

Well when the Steelers drafted Nick Herbig it was Omar Khan who said that they feel Herbig could play inside or outside! I'd say it's about time we find out what he can do. He's certainly a talented kid with one hell of a motor!
Not that simple.
1. He’s never played the position
2. As far as has been reported, he’s practiced exclusively at OLB. It would be a rough transition at this point.

Time to learn. Kahn certainly thinks he's capable. Did he see any ILb action during camp and pre-season?

Rotten. Our MLB corps has been playing better than average and much better than any unit of the last few years...losing 2 in 2 weeks just sucks.
Front office solved the ILB problem, and now we lose 2/3 big rotational players and playmakers. Robinson needs to step up!

Yep, they hit a home run with all the moves and all three worked perfectly together. I particularly liked Alexander because he was a tone setter in his role. A great opportunity for Robinson.

Terrell Edmunds seems to be a logical choice to at least lend a helping hand...He's been moved around 2x this year and he knows the Steelers...While he isn't a ILB he did pull some duty there in certain schemes as I recall...
