According to a tweet sent out by NFL Network reporter Tom Pelissero, Pittsburgh Steelers’ pro scouting coordinator Brandon Hunt was interviewed by the Las Vegas Raiders for their GM position on Tuesday.
The #Raiders interviewed #Steelers pro scouting coordinator Brandon Hunt for their GM job Tuesday, per source. Hunt is also expected to be one of the internal candidates to succeed Kevin Colbert in Pittsburgh.

Hunt is also considered to be one of the internal candidates along with Omar Khan to replace Steelers’ GM Kevin Colbert after the draft, which Pelissero also noted in his tweet.

Hunt has been with the team for several seasons and has been a key piece in their draft success. If the Raiders were to hire Hunt for their GM position, the Steelers would receive a 3rd round compensatory pick in both the 2022 and 2023 NFL Draft.

With both Hunt and Kahn interviewing, I wonder if Colbert is either not retiring or if the Steelers are going to go outside of the organization for the hire.

I took it that they were just trying to beat the Steelers to the punch..
to weigh their interest. I could see Hunt getting a gig before Kahn.

Definitely possible. If Colbert is going to retire, it would be better for the team if it was sooner rather than later.
Come on 3rd round draft picks!!
No confidence in either Khan or Hunt? A third-round draft pick isn't much compensation for losing members of the front office if you think they're good at their jobs.
