Looks like JJ is facing yet another season-ending surgery. Dude was the best in the game for a few years but other than that, he's been on IR. This has to be the 4th season-ending injury he's had.

JJ is on the inside taking a lot of banging from various angles. Hopefully TJ playing OLB will make a difference as it pertains to health.

I feel really bad for JJ, but relieved the Steelers didn't fork over the cash for him. Hope he recovers quickly.

I was intrigued in aquiring JJ, the whole three brothers thing but in the end I was glad they didn't fall bait to that. His (JJ) money was way to high considering our cap situation at the time. Would he have paired great with Cam, hell yess but we had a healthy Tuitt at the time.

Here's to long health and production to the HIGHEST paid defender in the league TJ WATT and ******* JJ can buy him lunch (remeber when TJ got his rookie deal JJ boosted about still having buying him lunch).

It would have been a cool and really neat story if the three Watts played together, but the numbers couldn't work out to sign TJ and the other holes to fill. Great player and human, but is hurt a lot. The nature of his position and age.

Tj just turned 27 and is locked up until 30 with a team out at 31. If he’s playing good I’m sure they keep him. If not they move on.

Thats the thing Ford, the team signs these guys with the highest play expected but when that player can't acheive that high play standard, the high play pay is still there.

I don't have a happy medium answer but the legnth and out of the contract.

I met JJ on a flight from Milwaukee to Houston his rookie year. He was sitting in front of me. What a nice young man I thought, pleasant, friendly, humble when I
talked with him. I thought at the time, I wonder if there are any younger Watts at home playing football? Got my prayers answered!
Speedy recovery big man and we miss you in Houston.

You know I wanted the Tuitt for JJ trade this season. Right now 6 games by JJ is still more than 0 by Tuitt at this point in the season...

You think about it our aging D-lineman and their aging D-lineman both injured. Perhaps the Steelers should go back to that over 30 free agency approach... avoiding them.

I often wonder how much longer Cam will hold up. Tuitt is oft injured but how much longer do we see him? Our team has got quite an infusion of youth on the O but need some DL help and I think sooner than later.

Is Tuitt EVER coming back?

Is Tuitt EVER coming back?
I'm pretty convinced at this point that his continued absence has nothing to do with his injury. I think he is struggling in his personal life and with the family tragedy that happened over the summer. I'm not sure we'll see him suit up this season.

I mean, if thats the case, then I think its fair to wonder if he EVER makes it back

I'm speculating just like everybody else on this board and media talking heads (by the way they are crickets on this topic)

I think initially Stefon had troubles with his brothers death to the point he quit working out, saw no reason the push himself, took time for himself (it got away) and fell into a depression sort of state causing further demise in physical shape.

Came into training camp and the staff surmized for themselves what has happened. They got him counseling right away & possibly anti-depressants. Got him to working out and either he blew a knee or found a existing something that was bad. Surgery with good outcome but time to heal.

When you add the healing time + surgery recoverery, then couple in the "GET" back into game shape............. one can see the huge time delay.

The STEELERS have been quiet about Tuitt due to personal privacy and respect to the player.

If he wasn't making it back this season I feel the team would have persued another interior lineman. At this time we have to be patient and hope for the best.

My $1.78 opinion
