Controversial ex-NFL star Le'Veon Bell speaks out after $25m verdict in incest and rape case as grim details emerge​

Le'Veon Bell is reportedly denying allegations that he raped his cousin for around a decade - starting when she was just a child.

That is despite a jury ordering that the woman receive damages totaling $25million from Bell and another $11.05 from his brother La'Vonte, according to court documents.

Both La'Vonte and the former running back are accused of starting nonconsensual 'incestual relations' with her when she was just six to seven years old.



According to a lawsuit filed in Ohio last year, Jada Bell is eight years younger than 33-year-old Bell, who played for the Jets, Steelers, Chiefs, Ravens and Buccaneers before becoming a boxer.

Bell's attorney told TMZ that the default judgement in the case is 'bogus'.

'Both defendants engaged in ongoing incestual relations with the Plaintiff beginning when Plaintiff was just six to seven years old,' the complaint reads.

'These incestual relations continued through at least 2017,' with Bell accused of continuously 'engaging in these encounters' during 'his college years and beyond'.


It's said that the former running back 'often used slang terms to instruct the minor child as to which incestual acts he wished for her to perform... for instance, he termed oral sex "fire".'

The complaint continues: 'None of these encounters were consensual and they happened with such frequency as to habitualize Plaintiff to the abuse'.

Jada is said to have suffered 'extreme and ongoing mental anguish and distress as a result of the incestual sexual relations forced upon her by the Defendants.'

1. Why wait until you are 25 years old to bring this to light? Not saying it didn't happen, but it just seems odd that this has been happening for +/- 19 years and it just now comes to light.
2. His attorney stated that this is a "Default Judgement"...how do you have a default judgement in a case of that magnitude? Did Bell not show up for the hearings, did his attorney not show up or respond? Seems weird that you are sued for that type of crime, for that monetary amount, and you would allow a default judgement to be entered.

In Ohio, if I read it correctly, a child victim of sexual assault can file a criminal complaint up until they turn 30. So she can pursue that, maybe she has but the DA’s office ( and police) are still investigating or refused charges due to lack of evidence. District attorneys are elected officials so ignoring she said/he said complaints these days is risky. Would have mentioned in the article more than likely if that were the case. I’m guessing she hasn’t pursued a criminal complaint.

Maybe due to the elapsed time, she doesn’t like her chances in criminal court and doesn’t want to waste her time. Maybe she’s afraid of family repercussions since she’s related to the suspect, it’s ok to take his money but don’t put him in prison, also more difficult to collect if he is in prison. Maybe it never happened. Who knows.

Yeah sounds like someone took a while to cook this up to fleece him. Made sure they had their story straight and he had gotten all the money he would probably get in his lifetime to make sure they got the biggest cut possible.

And not to be misogynistic as it could all be true, but nothing would surprise me when it comes to some peoples greed.

Hard to say with these things... I know a dude who was on probation after serving time for some non pedo ****** up ****. When he got out, he got married and his new stepdaughter hated him. She accused him of ****, and it caused him to lose his marrage and his parole... ultimately the girl was lying... it came out she accused a series of guys over several years in order to get what she wanted.... for tge record everyone thought he did it for certain... he was innocent. ( still a dick though)

On the flip side, This super nice dude who used to go to the bar I went to as a twentysomething was going through a messy divorce and his stepdaughter accused him of such things... everyone thought she was doing it to help her mom out... nope, dude was guilty as hell...
