Listening to The Fan and Cook

What is it with Ron Cook who co-hosts the Fan radio show? The guy will never, ever criticize or come close to criticizing Tomlin. He's rude to callers that may even hint of criticizing Tomlin. These shows should be about the fans calling in and giving their opinions about the game, the team and the coaches but it seems like hands off on Tomlin.

The fact that the trend of losing to bad teams continues under Tomlin year after year and when fans bring it up, its well where were you the last two weeks when they were winning? That's bullshit! They didn't win those games because of Tomlin, they won those games because his QB had two career games that may never be duplicated.

Cook was one of the only ones or the only one I heard last week saying he could see the Steelers losing this game and he wouldn't be shocked if they did.

Lets be honest, I'll bet you felt the same way that they would most likely lose this game and possibly the Titan game. I felt it all last week that they may lose these two road games.

But, the thing that bothers me is Cook goes after a caller who dares call out Tomlin.

that's the impression I get from him. He will rip you if you call to criticize any coach. He's the media and "in the know", so your opinion means little to nothing.

Tom, that's exactly what Cooks does though. He won't criticize Tomlin or tolerate a caller criticizing him. Its like Tomlin is this sacred cow and its hands off.

Speaks volumes for someone "in the know". The Steelers under the direction of Mike Tomlin have an abysmal record of losing to garbage teams. The Jets game no exception. Tomlin is the "Head Coach" and he is paid quite well to prepare this football team week after week to win games. The Steelers performance yesterday can be described best as "unfocused". The Defense and Special teams were hitting but four turnovers in a low scoring game will cost you the game. To be fair, even with the four "gifts" handed Michael Vick, the Jets only put up 20 points. Think how destructive four turnovers would have translated in each of the Colts and Ravens games! Yoi and double yoi!!
Now that the team has been "***** slapped" by Sexy Rexy here's hoping they will re-group and do their best Green Bay vs. Chicago impersonation and stomp the living bejesus out of the Flying Thumbtacks! They better, the remaining schedule has four potential losses written all over it. And please Coach T, no more James Harrison at fullback, it's such an "obvious" last act of a desperate man.
