They are sitting him end of season so he doesn't get hurt and get injury money which like Derek Carr should mean they are moving on.

not for usYep that was a bad trade as well
We had one for 17 years, top 5 NFL QB all time.Trying to land the "franchise QB" is so over rated.
No problem if you're lucky enough to get one along the way. But chasing one at all costs could bury a team for years. We had one for 17 years, top 5 NFL QB all time.
Some here took him for granted and figured we could find one in our 1st attempt…………
We can also see now that Coaching took him for granted as well.
Salute the nation
and end of discussionSo the Broncos trade for Russel Wilson and a fourth round pick and give up Drew Lock, Noah Fant, Shelby Harris, two first round picks, two second round picks and a fifth round pick.
Good trade or bad trade? Discuss.
The Watson deal makes this look not that bad; that was a REAL stinker. The dangers of paying big money and guaranteeing it to players is that they just don’t fit or lose their drive. … and qbs are so system dependent that it is a much higher risk.
The qb trades that season are not looking good at all

Wild horses that buck soooo hard that the R falls off.PS what are Boncos?
The Rodgers trade isn't looking too good either. Effectively two high second round picks for someone who may never play a full game for the Jets. The Watson deal makes this look not that bad; that was a REAL stinker.
The Browns will receive Watson and a 2024 sixth-round draft choice (which was originally a fifth-round pick),
Texans will receive a 2022 first-round pick (No. 13 overall),
- 2023 and 2024 first-round picks,
- a 2022 fourth-round choice (No. 107),
- a third-round pick in 2023 and a fourth-round pick in 2024. The 2022 fourth-rounder was an addition to what was previously reported.
Watson's been on cruise control since he showed up. Joe Flacco, recruited off his couch, has been much more successful playing QB.
