Looks like Troy and Mason could permanently move to the left side + other Steelers news 5/20

I think they are just looking at what their best options are for everyone.. not just forcing them into a position... which is a great thing...

Yeah, wait til they do leg length measurements to find out who starts at LT.

What you do with Allar is have him say “ow my finger hurts” after taking a snap and put him on IR for the season.

Or if he looks better than Will…then Will gets the owwy

I hear yaz Fiji, but it may not be as easy as that.

We as fans see that as a viable option, but the player may not see it that way.

A-legitimate player wants to play, not sit on the bench / IR / doghouse / ect..

There is even a chance of asking to be traded or released.

DK Sports Daily Shot had a segment about this very thing.

If I had to lean in a direction today, I’d say it’s Rudy who ends up outside looking in.

Might be an injury or possible trade during TC.

Obviously if any of the 4 get injured, they will go to IR.

I would counter with his arm length is fine and his athleticism is more than fine. No reason he can’t flourish as a LT.

i said in another thread - Rudolph will likely be a last cut, as we hedge against any of our QBs getting injured in preseason.

as for the guy getting IRed, i doubt they'd do that to Howard. That would begin a "can't stay healthy" tag.

Some here have acted like the IR designation can be manipulated at will. It would be a lot harder than most think.

I can’t see a healthy player willing to manipulate his career for a falsified IR designation.

These players want to play, I’d think “trade me or release me” would be the language some would use.

It will come down to performance, today Rudy is QB2, will and drew must elevate to keep their roster spot.

Fortunately there is the summer to off-campus self improve and TC (remainder of current OTA)

Please, NO INJURY to anyone……. Including coaching staff.

From everything I have seen and read Howard has been taking the QB2 snaps ahead of Mason,

I guess I should have typed what I meant instead of assuming…….

If the season started today, Rudy would be QB2.

I highly doubt they would enter the season with out a vet back up instead of someone who hasn’t played a down in the nfl.

Will is designated QB2 currently so as to they get the best opportunity to evaluate him.

A lot can happen between now and season start.

I hope one or the other beats out Rudy for that #2 designation come game day (when it counts)

I can’t support a hard statement of this nature, currently (could change obviously)

Allar is struggling, but there is no way he would be cut.

Will is doing very well from all accounts.

Rudy is the silent part of the equasion, most think they know his ability and future. (Today, I think he is kept, but also kmnow that can change pending on advancement of the youngiNs).

I believe it was 1997 that the last time they kept 4 QBs on the roster, Kordel Stewart was one of the four.
