The only time I got sticky fingers ..and subsequently got caught lifting that game. The MPs called the parental units to come get me. Then I got a nice arse whooping. Even back then I had to have my football.😅

Never owned it. And never understood why they called those games "football". Hell Atari didn't make a game that looked like any sport it was trying to be on the label. Not until Coleco got a hold of gaming did sports games start to look decent, though I did love the old Odyssey system Baseball game.

When the games got better ie Colecovision and then Nintendo and Sega and 1st Playstation it was unbelievable. Because it went from light blips to something that looked and moved a bit like a player. God I spent hours.

I’ve got a N-64 (was my son’s) and Quarterback Club 98’. I loved that game and played it all the time. I fire it up once in awhile just for ***** and giggles.

I’m always the STEELERS and Audible into two point conversions every time. I’ll even go for FGs at 80 yards and audible to score a TD.

I never got into the game systems thing. If it wasn't old school, I wasn't into it. I had to put a quarter into it, or forget it.

Awwww the Odyssey!!!! We had the Odyssey II and played football on that thinking it was so fun. Look at Madden now compared to that and it sure has changed. The ball was a white dot for hell sakes :cool:. I think part of the appeal of Tecmo Bowl is it had a directional pad and TWO buttons to hit. Now you have to have the finger dexterity of Eddie Van Halen on his guitar just to call the play, let alone run the play! My kids and I came across the SNES last week in storage and hooked it up. Tecmo Bowl 3 baby. Steelers defense was incredible on that game. Rod Woodson, Kevin Greene, Greg Lloyd.....I assume because "if its in the game its in the game" as the motto goes, the Steelers are pathetic on Madden '23. Havnt bought it for last few years. Glorified roster update and gameplay was a joke. Plus I know it takes all types, but ALL the music is rap and hip hop. Could we get some ******* rock n roll on there for god sakes?!

I had that as well. They got me the programming cartridge that was all binary thinking I would become a genius coder. Binary!!
