LS Warren injured.

Well, here is why Colbert gets paid the big bucks. FIND a talent out there and lets snap to it !!!!!

If the coaches are willing to publicly entertain the possibility that any injury is "significant", that usually means they already know damn well it is. The team doc probably felt his leg right on the field and said, "Yep it's ******". Otherwise they don't even speculate if an injury could be a season ender unless they have a pretty good idea it is.

Greg seems like a super nice dude and is a great LS, shame. Hopefully if he does miss the season he is able to bounce back, although he has been around a good while.

His former backup James Harrison is available.

Was lucky enough to go out to dinner with Warren and a lot of the special teams guys several years ago, definitely a good dude in my book. He's bounced back from two major injuries before, but he's up there in age. Hope he can make it back, but if not he has had a solid career in Pittsburgh.

Carried on the legacy of my man Mike Schnek. Two very good, long tenured Steeler Long Snappers.

Another thing I always enjoyed about Warren was watching him bust *** downfield on punt coverage trying like hell to get in on the tackle. Seem like he got involved on them quite a bit.

TE Bryce Davis can LS also . . .maybe they will try him first before looking for someone else.

Jorgen Hus. He is a kid from Saskatchewan. He had a reasonable tryout with the Rams and was a numbers casualty from the Seahawks before he was given a chance. Longsnap players just need a chance. This guy can put the laces where the punter/ holder wants them. He is a linebacker, doubtfully NFL quality but can tackle on punt cover. If the guy in camp isn't an NFL quality TE then I give Hus a call. Sorry to hear about Warren. Good Steeler. Very steady.

The good news is it is early and we have time to find a good replacement if he is done for the season. This is also one of the easiest positions to replace on the whole team. The steelers did it on one of the Superbowl runs in the past with a guy that was moving furniture, can't remember his name right now but he might still be around.

I'd like to see McCullers given an opportunity.

The easiest replaceable member on the team, but, the most visual if a mistake is made :)

My dad was the long-snapper on his college team. When he got to school he was the only one there who already knew how to long-snap, although FB was his regular position. Up until his arthritis got bad in his 60's he could still do it and with a pretty good spiral.

It would be nice if someone on the squad could long snap so we don't have to use a roster spot just for that.

Does one really need a meniscus to long-snap? I think he'll be ready to go by Sept 7.

I would love to tryout except for the running downfield part. Too old now for that ****.
