So...

Some of us are still kids and we play video games - my favorite is Madden Football. We've talked about the 'supposed' curse before over the years and usually the athlete of choice had a major injury during the season.

Then I got to thinking last night; I know dangerous as it may be...

Both Brady and Mahomes graced the cover this year---I know neither was injured (physically), but...

Neither made it to the Last Dance either.

So...

Is it a curse to be on the cover of the greatest American Football game ever???

Berm believes this is more than a coincidence.

What say ye??? Fire your tomatoes...

I think we need Joe Burrow on the cover next year.

No tomatos here but maybe DIC will throw a 3/4 cut one for the third person speak. lol

I'm not superstitous at all but t*mmyb*y got beat up enough to cause him to want retirement so that keeps the curse in tact......................

As for Mahomes, his greatness was lowered a notch and home life is acting up so would that be enough to keep the curse in tact? Only AFCCG team to allow an 18 point deficit turn into a victory............................ curse?

Remember there are two on the cover so ONLY a 1/2 curse each !

Stretch. Both were very successful. Perhaps not by their standards, but they were still in playoffs and had outstanding seasons.

I'm glad Madden doesn't take their "NFL experience" too far and restrict each team to its own playbook. Steeler fans would only be allowed to run bubble screens, 3yard passes to the sidelines, and runs up the middle.

Not a curse, BTW. I think it's a violent game and **** happens.

As was said before… the only person who should be on Madde 2022 is Madden himself and perhaps that will appease the video game demons that haunt that game… lol

I used to enjoy playing Madden Football. Admittedly, it's been a while since I've last seen a copy. Assuming that there is something to your above, is it fair to assume that Mike Tomlin has been the face of the game for the past decade?

Don't forget Jet sweep right and left to Claypool. But that might be on some additional cost pack.

Do you have a citation that proves you used to play Madden? I am sure you have many incidents of, "it's been awhile" to be fair.

Another dig and the HC...hilarious...

I just wanna know if he will be sporting his trademark neck gator in the game.
and the sunglasses...he has to hide his clueless looking expression for the TV.

Well Steelers fans are nothing if not consistent. Hating the coach. Even Noll got some grief in his later years. Many wanted him fired the same as Tomlin. Like we say in Ohio for Buckeyes fans they only want their coach undefeated or dead.

Agreed. I legit think that when Marsha didn't get that roughing call vs the Rams in the divisional game that he retired At That Moment.
