Possibly The Biggest Anti-Gun Lunacy of the Year!
By Eric Reed on June 25, 2014 in BuzzPo, Civil Rights, Crime, Gun control
It’s not often that I come across an event that I could say is possibly the biggest anti-gun lunacy of the year. But this story I promise, will leave you shaking your head, dazed and confused.
Lumberton, MS - Back in March 2014, a Mississippi concealed weapons permit holder walked into Keith’s Superstore. As he began shopping, he noticed 29 year-old Lamont Williams begin stabbing the stores manager.
The concealed weapons permit holder drew his weapon, stopped the assault immediately, and held Williams at gunpoint until the police arrived. The stores manager was taken to the hospital in critical condition, but she did survive and make a successful recovery.
This story makes five important points:
•The person who saved the victim’s life was a civilian with a Concealed Carry Permit.
•The person who held the suspect at gunpoint until the police arrived was that civilian.
•Dispels opinions that permit holders are trigger-happy gun-nuts who can’t wait to shoot.
•Dispels thoughts that victims should count on the police to be there when they need them.
•Concealed Permit Holders should not be barred from businesses with their guns.
Happy ending, right? Not quite! Here comes the lunacy.
It has just been confirmed that Keith’s Superstore has posted a “No Guns” signs on their front doors. The picture of their entry doors is below.
It has been further confirmed that these signs just appeared recently, and were not up at the time of the March 2014 stabbing.
I of course called Keith’s Superstore in Lumberton, MS to find out what their logic was. Long story short, they were quite rude, and refused to answer any questions pertaining to this incident. Perhaps I should’ve asked why they didn’t post a “No Knives” sign!
