"A Coast Guard patrol boat spotted an overturned boat at 3:30 a.m. on a jetty near Government Cut. The bodies were discovered a short time later, two in the water and one under the boat. Officials said no one was wearing a life vest."

Could have been fishing..boat was discovered at 3 hard to say when accident happened

Holy cow. That is the first I have seen of the wreckage. I wonder if he lost his navigational equipment or if it was malfunctioning. You'd have to assume a boat that size would have GPS. Even with GPS I'd be taking it easy near inlets.

Different circumstances but this reminds me of the boat crash in the 90s that killed 3 major leaguers. I think they hit a dock at night. Gotta be careful out there. Boats will kill your *** in a heartbeat if you are not careful.

The Florida Panthers warmed up with his jersey number and had his number on their helmets. Very class for another sports team to do this.

Autopsy report is out.

All 3 dudes had cocaine in their systems, but Fernandez was almost twice the limit for alcohol ... the other guys were not. Makes you wonder .... was the owner of the boat, who was also the drunkest, the one driving? I would guess so, but that could not be confirmed. Looks a lot like the guy essentially caused his own death.

I've never met a boat owner that was comfortable with acquaintances driving their baby.

I wonder if there would have been all these commemorations for him had they known he was coked up and killed himself and 2 other people?
