Said this in a interview about the Steelers, I wonder what exactly he's trying to say.

"The team, to me, if you look just based off of what I very teeny bit know and based off what I feel like I've seen/how it is, I feel like there's an underlying thing there somewhere internally that reminds me kind of the Jets' current situation," Humphrey said on his Punch Line podcast. "Sometimes when I see quotes from Jets players, it seems like they're trying to speak in code and there's something that they wanna say that they can't just say. There's a couple times I read Jets quotes from certain players and it's like, no one just wants to dog somebody, or you can't really tell the media exactly what's going on. But it seems like how [the Steelers] kind of played in that game against us, it's like ... And I know something that I ain't gonna say."

If the players are indeed holding back on what they wanna say, I can't blame them. They know, like us, that Tomlin isn't going anywhere and it's just better to keep your mouth shut, play ball and earn their millions without a HC pissed at them.

1. We have descended to the depths of hell when threads are titled after Baltimore Ravens players in January

2. No matter the issue - the answer is Tomlin

Because they sucked. Because they sucked last year and the year before that. And the year before that. He should have been gone when Ben exited. Actually he should have been gone before that.

Would’ve been nice if Ben could’ve finished his career like he started it…

With a competent coach that gave him a shot at another SB.

But alas he was stuck with the turned ultra conservative mediocre Mike

Man I cannot recall another team calling this team soft. Just in the last few years.
It was kinda embarrassing listening to the announcers in the Ravens game that they basically had no fight in them
Not embarrassing so much as we weren’t the ones on the field sucking out loud or dreaming up that god awful gameplan.

I just felt sorry for guys like TJ and Cam watching a shyte HC waste their careers…not often ya feel
sorry for millionaires, but I kinda did.

Sure wish we’d trade Watt and let him have chance of winning something. He deserves it and will be an old man before Mikey leaves.

Never, ever associated the word soft with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
I’ve told you boys before on other occasions that I’ve followed the franchise since I was a kid in Pittsburgh. That’s going back to 1960 when they were perennial losers but even then they were never, ever soft.
They may have won 1,2,3 games a year but they would kick your ***.
This recent display of quit and being soft totally makes me want to puke. This is not who we ever were in the past.
I have to be honest with you here. This is the lowest I’ve been after any season since the late 60’s when Bill Austin was the HC.
I feel like there is no light at the end of the tunnel and the Rooney’s of this era are simply out of touch with what made the franchise great.
The bar has been set too low with 9,10 wins enough now and championships not realistic.
I probably need several weeks away from Steelerland to get refocused here. Very sad state of affairs with this franchise.

Pretty sure I'm not making this up in my head, but I seem to recall the word "lethargic" being used by announcers in several games over the last couple or few years. I'll watch the early Steelers game and oftentimes catch the games after and it's like they move twice as fast, jump higher, block harder etc., no matter what team it is. Like they're trying to score points to win even if they don't. It might just be me, but it seems that way.

Actually it's the franchise needs an overhaul. It's like an old vehicle you keep doing minor repairs until the repairs exceed the value of the truck. This thing needs pretty much a top to bottom replacement. The way they are doing business simply isn't working in this era. I'm willing to bet it wasn't so much different for Noll at the end of the 80s

The body language in the Steelers last 5 games looked like they knew it wasn't ending well.

Same body language after they came out in the playoffs last year to play the Bills. They had three games to end the season where Tomlin allowed the offense to open it up and every teammate was behind it and bought into the team. After the first series, you tell how distraught those player were and it showed in the outcome.

Tomlin is the problem, could care less how long he’d be unemployed should he get fired here… as if that’s an excuse to keep him.

The STEELERS are soft and starts with current ownership on down.

Salute the nation

Same with me. Hope he is employed 5 min after gone. Guy is going to HOF FOR SURE. Don't care he needs gone. Everything else is window dressing.

Well, Pickens flat out said he has no faith in the offense improving. The offense drove DJ crazy and he's still being a diva. I can't imagine the RBs were happy with how they were used. Why would any offensive skill player want to come to Pittsburgh?

Defensively, the game plan clearly wasn't working and they were running primarily a nickel package when Baltimore was running it down our throats. I can't imagine the defensive players were happy with the scheme.

Noll won a road playoff game with Bubby Brister, almost beat Denver 2 years before he retired. If Noll went 8 years without a playoff game, his last playoff win would've been 83, but he made an AFCCG in 84 with Malone.
If Cowher went 8 years without a playoff win, his last playoff win would've been 98. Hell Cowher won 7 post season games in his final 8 seasons.

Coach T will figure out how to refill the Blinker fluid on that old truck soon…I’m sure of it

My point isn't that Tomlin is even in the same galaxy as either. But everything has a shelf life. Everything. The Pats won 5 SBs with Belicheat. He didn't even go out on his own terms.

They won 6 i think, but exactly, Belichick has won 2 or 3 Super Bowls since Tomlin last won a playoff game and they got rid of Belichick, yet here we sit with Tomlin still
