The Colts are about to go up by 11 with like 4 and 1/2 or so minutes left after they attempt like a 27 yard field goal and the Broncos have three time outs. i take a time out and give my QB all the time I possibly can. Its fricken Manning, he can manage a quick offense. I don't let 30 seconds evaporate thaqt I can't get back.
Also in the college Semi finals in the Alabama/ Ohio State game, it was a debacle. Alabama is down a TD but has all three timeouts with like 2 and change. They short kick off. You have three time outs! Then Ohio State gets the ball on the short kick and proceeds to try a long bomb instead of forcing Alabama out of its time outs. I would think these are all pretty basic strategy situations.
Even the Steelers last week with their ****** two point convert attempt with lots of game left. I'd say that one was debatable cause the chart might say go for two. But I never liked it at all.

Only problem I have for the conversion was that it was only a ******* one man route. And that was out of a time out

I was under the understanding you don't go for the 2 until you absolutely have too. In this case we needed multiple scores yet I don't think we should have done it. i didn't like the call....unless it would of worked of course. :)

don't feel bad neither does Tomlin

It seems to me that coaches fail to realize that if they have the lead late in a game, that the score board is their friend and the game clock is their enemy, and they throw the ball. In those situations, an incomplete pass is the same as giving your opponent another TO.

And I'm not talking about having a small lead with 5:00 left, more like a two score lead with 3:00 left.

It seems that I see it more and more every year.
