The idiotic "sanctuary city" idea is and always was unconstitutional. One government, and only one, sets immigration policy - the Federal government. Further, states have no authority to change, amend, alter or refuse to abide by Federal laws under something known as the "supremacy clause," Article VI, Clause 2, which provides, "This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding."

Another example of liberals thinking they can simply ignore the laws that govern our country, while they of course expect conservatives to faithfully stand by every nuanced interpretation of law that they like.

Honestly, I wish California, Oregon, and Washington would secede from the US. We could then divert the Colorado river back to help the midwest and then make California go broke... or broker by buying water and food at a crazy high price. Then buy those states back for pennies on the dollar and kick the liberals into the Ocean.

They call conservatives fascists but it is always the liberal that ignores laws and tramples freedoms on a whim. New York is a great example where they refuse to enforce immigration laws and you can't buy a large soda. Cuz they said so. They don't need to go by laws, they know best.

California supplies a massive amount of food to the United States, particularly grapes, lettuce, avocados, almonds, oranges, apples, beef, chicken, and milk. The farms in Central California are - well, were, before a Federal judge took away delta water - an extraordinary sight. If you have never seen Central California, then you cannot appreciate how vast it is, and how many farms there are along this route.

And contrary to 21Steelers' belief that the educated made California a blue state, when it was the reddest of red for many years, the state changed when the Federal government changed immigration policy in 1965. The millions upon millions of Mexican citizens - both legal and illegal - who emigrated into California radically altered the population. Further, the vast majority those immigrants were not college-educated and self-sufficient; they were almost universally uneducated and needed government assistance with food, housing, education, medical care, etc.
