There are conflicting reports about the cause, although the city's mayor is quoted as saying it was an "explosive device".
Police have sealed off the area around Eugene's Wine Bar, the Nordbayern.de news website reported.
Bavarian Interior Minister Joachim Herrmann is on his way to the scene.
The interior ministry said that the explosion appeared to have been intentional, contradicting initial reports that suggested it might have been a gas explosion.

I don't know how true it is but I heard several years ago that since Europe and especially Germany has had a pretty low birthrate for decades, their governments were concerned about a worker shortage so they started letting in a lot of people from the middle east. Problem is that's a lot of people who want to kill you.

Ansbach explosion: Bomber pledged allegiance to IS

The Syrian man who blew himself up in Ansbach, Germany, on Sunday made a video pledging allegiance to the leader of so-called Islamic State, Bavaria's interior minister says.

The man threatened a "revenge attack" on Germans in the video, he said.

IS has claimed it was behind the attack and the Syrian was an IS "soldier".

Fifteen people were injured, four of them seriously, when the man's explosive device went off close to a music festival in the small town, which is near Nuremberg.

The attacker announced in the video "in the name of Allah that he pledged allegiance to [IS chief] Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi... and announced an act of revenge against Germans because they were standing in the way of Islam," Mr Hermann said.

Joachim Hermann said two phones, multiple SIM cards and a laptop were found with the body of the 27-year-old asylum seeker or at his accommodation.

What do violent events in other countries have to do with the United States? Are we required to protect everyone?
We can't even save the lives of the 80 Americans who die (on average) everyday from guns in our own country.

Our intelligence services tell us that at least 10% of the "Refugees" out of Syria are ISIS sleepers. The Democrats want to bring in 250K of them here which means 25K or so ISIS troops get to waltz into the USA and live on our dime while plotting to kill us. 25K is a reinforced division of terrorists. Whats going on in Europe is what will happen here if we bring them here.
