His championship "fight" tonight was like a sparring match against a liberal.

He dominated Alvarez. I was shocked. How many times did he put Alvarez on his ***? 6 anyway. He's got a big mouth, but the guy can fight.

Dude has some serious power and precision in his hands. Always refining and learning his craft. A great self marketing guru as well. He's making himself and the UFC a ton of $$$ .Bravo for him.

I can't stand the guy. I just don't see what makes him so good. He obviously has great power in his left hand, but i qould think that top level fighters could take that away. When people are going down or does not look like he is even hitting them that hard. Diaz is apparently the only one who can stand with him. Has McGregor fight Cerrone yet?

Mcgregors movement and balance is elite... he has improved his takedown defense and he is so patient in his striking. I love watching him fight and realize all of his banter is a pro wrestling schtick side show...

Yep

McGregor is constantly improving on his weaknesses since his loss

Conor McGregor is just an Irish beast. Really love his way of fighting.
I saw this championship fight and it just looked to easy for him.

Diaz is two weight classes higher than what McGregor usually fights at, and that first fight Diaz was taking a beating, but caught him in a choke.

McGregor couldn't finish diaz and got tired. Then diaz came on strong.
The second fight was just a brutual fight for both fighters. Somehow McGregor caught a little second wind which was enough to squeak out the win.
McGregor may be able to win some at 170, overall i think the guys are too big.

So Dana white offers 50 mil 25 to Mayweather and 25 to Connor + negotiable ppvs for the boxing match. So far a no go. I would love to see this happen, but i don't think either fighter really wants it. Mayweather has no reason to take it other than money and Connor probably knows he would get killed.

In a boxing match. Mayweather would mop the floor with McGregor. In an mma setting. McGregor owns. Different mechanics. Dana White is stupid

Maybe Dana wants to bring McGregor back down to Earth. Maybe make the purse winner take all. 100 mil to the winner and they can split the PPV buys.

Maybe the fight will happen after all

While the UFC was hosting an event in Denver on Saturday night, mixed martial arts' biggest draw, Conor McGregor, was holding court in Manchester, England.

Called "An Experience with The Notorious Conor McGregor," the UFC champion sat down for a wide-ranging interview with MMAFighting.com's Ariel Helwani in front of a live audience both in person and online, and he addressed questions about his past, his present and whether his future features a fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr.

"That fight is being more than explored -- that fight has been in the works for a while now," McGregor said. "It's a fight the people want, it's the fight I want."

Questions about the reality of a McGregor-Mayweather fight dominated the live interview, with McGregor saying he believes the fight "will happen by the end of this year or early next year."

UFC president Dana White recently made a public offer of $25 million each to McGregor and Mayweather; however, that's not enough money to get the deal done, according to McGregor.

"I'm happy an offer was made, we're getting there," McGregor said. "... We're moving up. It's still not there yet, but it's closing in on it."

"If [the] Manny [Pacquiao] and Floyd [fight] did half a billion, this is a billion dollar fight," McGregor explained. "People gotta pay for it."

Unfortunately a professional boxer is going to make him look silly. Mayweather or Manny would absolutely destroy him in straight up boxing. They can hype it all they want, but that's the reality.

Just saw that supposedly Mayweather and Connor agreed to terms to fight and an announcement could be made in a couple weeks.
