So usually it takes me longer to admit that I am off on a opinionated take or philosophy… but I will go early on this one….

While it absolutely is almost always a huge mistake to take a rb in the first round, and while statistically its known that it almost never leads to a super bowl anymore,…..

Harris was probably the better pick there because of how the later picks turned out.

Don’t get me wrong… KG is way undersized and still growing into the CRole, and I’d rather have gotten Humphry… and while DMJ looks like he may beast at runblocking he's on ice skates passblocking a lot… he is so raw sometimes… both of them are contributing positively as rookies… and there should 100% never be any questions about drafting Muuuth in the second… even if his blocking still needs work….

It turned out that a big gamble looks like it completely paid off…

My one note is that Harris trying to go high all the time will have a bad end if they don’t temper it a bit… hurdling should be rare at best… stay low and protect your body… its fine to score… but the middle of the field stuff can end with a busted leg really easy….

Moore is inconsistent from play-to-play. Having him face Garrett without help was not smart. No, it was dumb. But Garrett succeeded with one move, the speed rush outside. Jesus, Moore, I get that having the guy beat you in the inside is an issue but damn dude, move to your left another step and simply cut off the outside rush. Force him back inside, where you long arms and size advantage come into play.

Just maybe it is by design. It takes longer to go wide than inside. As he is still young, I think forcing the long way is a better option. Also getting killed by MG is not a rare occurrence. DM played a decent game, but still has room to grow. That is just what I have been hoping for from him

If only it were that easy.............................

MOORE has been improving from game one all the way through yesterday. Remeber he was a 4th round draft pick and a Rookie starter at arguably the hardest position on the OL. Miles Garrett, as much as we may dislike it he is a premeir pass rusher. Moore didn't get much help and gave up a sack but I felt he did pretty dang good considering.

Is MOORE perfect,..... hell know but he is currently the best LT we have on the roster. Can Okoarofor play LT better,......... I don't thin k so as he didn't do well in preseason there and that wasn't against #1s & Hardly #2s.

I think MOORE is our LT for the season barring injury and I'm betting he gets better as the game experience keeps happening.

I noted that in my post.

I noted that in my post as well. "Jesus, Moore, I get that having the guy beat you in the inside is an issue ..."

Also getting killed by MG is not a rare occurrence.

Getting beat a time of two is one thing. Getting abused on the speed rush 20 times is something else. Re-watch and tell me how many times you see Garrett simply go upfield, beat him cleanly, and turn the corner on him. The result was a lot of very quick throws by Ben to avoid the sack and a lot of moving around by Ben.

So if he is beating your *** outside, DO SOMETHING TO CHANGE THE NARRATIVE. The team decided not to chip. Okay. So have to move harder upfield to cut off speed rush. If he counters back inside, Moore uses his very long arms and size advantage to stop him.

Just getting your *** beat time after time is not a viable option.

DM played a decent game,

He did reasonably well run blocking but as for pass protection - no, he didn't. The only times he slowed Garrett was when he did the "chokehold." Moore had a brutal game in pass protection.

So a 4th rd rookie had trouble blocking a DPOY candidate in Myles Garrett? Color me surprised ;) Want to know the round where rookie OTs usually start? It's round 1. And we have a 4th round LT starting and doing well. Is he perfect? No. Is he getting better each week? Yes. We got a steal in the 4th if we found our starting LT there.

I love the Najee pick, and I get the RB metrics of drafting a 1st round RB making a SB. But you don't find talent like Najee in any draft, except in the first round. 10 years ago, he's a consensus top 5 pick. We got a freakin steal, and his character has been the most pleasant surprise to me, and well worth a 1st to get a team leader that gives back to his community!

Again my post draft protests were based off of us needing the olinemen more than a stud rb… i was incorrect due to the depth guys they got…

Best draft I can recall since maybe 1987.

No worries madinsomniac, I get exactly what you are saying and yes, that 3rd & 4th pick are panning out which in turn makes Najee's 1st round acceptable.

Moore still makes mistakes and has room to grow but he is improving. Heading into his 4th season, Chuks wasn't and won't improve enough to pass Moore up even now. Chuks had his shot at LT. He was beaten out by Banner at RT last year but Banner got hurt. I think once Banner does get back in at RT, for whatever reason, he too will blow by Chuks.
