Im still shaking my head at this stat. He had three sacks Monday giving him four for the season. All those blitzes that I thought went pretty well. I could have sworn he had four or five coming into that game. Now that isnt to say every blitz that isnt a sack is a failure. I was sure he had more than one though.

pressures can be just as valuable

Definitely the surprise of the year, hands down.

His play has been awesome and he has hurried the QB on many occasion for incomplete passes, that to me is nearly a sack.
I don't care so much of sack totals(nice to get), but he is doing the things he needs to do.

We need to unleash him more if we see Brady again.

Better at getting to the QB than Bud, Chik, and Moats. Well done Hilton.

Congrats to Mike Hilton! The kid's been a stud since he arrived. I remember the glowing camp reports on him way back over the summer. Great job by Tomlin and Colbert for picking him up, and more importantly, for getting him on the field and making him a part of the defensive gameplan. Few corners can do what Hilton can, amazing to see what a heat seeking missile he is once in the backfield. Not too shabby in coverage either. Ironic we got the better of the two Southern Miss corners after drafting Senquez Golson. Turns out it's Hilton that became the player we thought we had in Golson.

He's one of the better tackling DB's I've seen in a while. The guy has perfect form tackling and I don't recall him ever missing a tackle one on one, even in the open field.

He had a couple interior run misses. Nothing huge.

Thought he was one of the guys that bounced off the RB on the big screen play against us as well. Then again 6 Defensive players missed him...

Tibs is providing good logic - BAN HIM!!!

Hilton is having an impressive season all-around. Hilton is sixth on the Steelers with 50 tackles, has four sacks, eight quarterback pressures, two interceptions, five pass defenses and one forced fumble. He also has nine special teams tackles.

.

A GREAT find! The kid is still in his first season at 23-years-old. There are good things ahead.

Meh....he is to short.

One other point, when Hilton starts earning DPOW accolades, it's because of the system. Great job Butler!

Definately agree with you on this, he is the type of player needed for the role he plays. GREAT signing and He seems to be a character guy on top of everything else. Now that HADEN is back I think Hilton can get back to his role even better.
