Regularly finishing around 10-6 or 11-5 and losing to the Pats***** in the playoffs every year is above the line for a coach of MT's pedigree, obviously.

I didn't like Colbert's quip in the off-season about "we're not going to build our team just to beat one other team". You ******' better because getting your *** soundly beaten every year by them makes you and MT look like fools.

Can't beat a team that you have no answers for. This goes back to Cowher. You have to believe they are building to beat the Pats, but will they in the Brady era? We don't seem to be in the same stadium, let along the same section as the *s.

like is said in the other thread. Other than the one AFCCG loss years ago to the *'s, those losses don't bother me. I don't care if it is a loss by 1 or by 800. I know they are a cheating piece of **** team and I am content. If we beat them and go to the SB, great, if we don't have to play them and go to the SB, great, I don't fee cheated in any way. If we get beat by them, it is because they are cheating pieces of ****. Until proven otherwise, that is what they are.
 
There is simply no justification for this. It must have been Dan's last wish. "Art, I don't care if he always chokes in the playoffs. The Rooney Rule, Art. The Rooney Rule..."
 
If Marsha and Belicheat weren't in NE, we would easily have 1 and maybe 2 more SB's under Tomlin. It's just like Michelson when Tiger was in his prime. He came up against the best and finished 2nd most of the time. That is the same with the Steelers. As much as we know they cheated, etc. etc. etc., Marsha and Belicheat have easily been the best over the past 15 years. Tomlin isn't going anywhere unless he wants to and honestly, deservedly so.
 
Just wish this guy could see what is going bad in a game and change it. We see only that dreaded look of OH CRAP what do I do now.
 
I hear ya. He and his assistants certainly are not perfect but I would much rather have him than almost any other coach in the league right now. The only one you can truly say is better is Belicheat.

That's the thing. I've said before, in defense of Shades, that it's easy to name ten head coaches that are worse but you can't name ten who are better.
I don't hate Shades, it just bugs the hell out of me that 1) he'll lose at least two games a year to lousy teams with a worse record, 2) does boneheaded **** seemingly more often than other coaches, and 3) he can't beat the Pats*****.

Seriously, those 0 losing seasons Tomlin has had, enough is enough! And last time I checked his winning percentage was higher than Cowhers, but hey, Rooney Rule, Rooney Rule. I know, Cowher's players he drafted 17 years ago are the reason Tomlin is still winning, everyone knows that. Your politics are leaking into your football.

HOLD it a minute............. I just want to know what part is being compared to Billicheat. Is it Billiy the cheating ****** part or Billiy the honest Abe part???? AND if you could be so gracious as to give me a percentage as to which is which??? I mean is Billiy 37% honest Abe or 86% cheating asszzhat?? And to what credit do you give his success to,........

Compairing anything to a cheatin ******** Billiy is comparing a what if??? Could have been ???? Most cheaters are disqualified from comparison to the HONEST ABE participants. ACCOUNTABILITY

I am not satisfied with winning seasons, but I grew up with the 70s Steelers. I expect more that being a little sister to the Patriots, and Tomlin is not the guy. I would rather try with a different coach than keep settling.
