Monte Pottebaum Retires

He knew Tomlin wasn't using him properly so he quit.
 
Was looking forward to using his name in the game thread after he steamrolled into the end zone or made a critical block.

Hope he finds a way back to the gridiron if that's what he wants to do.
 
Must be something going on in his personal life. Never played a down.
How do you just walk away from an opportunity only a very few have?
 
I hadn't heard of the rough moments in spring and training camps. I mean your running around in shorts and no one expected him to be a burner, he played high level collegiate football. Not that I expected him to stick but I'm curious as to what the article is referring to. Oh well, good luck Monte with your next endeavor.
