First off I know there are MANY permutations here. I don't want to toot my own horn, but I've been pretty good at this in the past. The best case scenario would be Ravens winning this week and losing next to the Rams. That gives the Steelers a straight shot if the expectedly lose to KC today.
For the purpose of discussion, I eliminate the Browns as without beating them at home next week everything is moot.
Which brings me to the most likely scenario:
The Steelers/Bengals trade losses to KC over the next two weeks and The Bengals beat the Ravens this Week and the Steelers beat the Browns next. The Steelers are the half game behind and it goes to week 18. The Steelers will need to beat the Ravens and need the Browns to beat the Bengals. The Browns will be game. It will be a similar situation to a couple years ago where the Browns damn near helped the Steelers against the Ravens.
My two cents.

if we don't want to depend on anyone after the morning games today..
then we want
Pats over Bills
Ravens over Bengals
Then with a win over the chiefs we would control our own destiny to win the north,

Also, A pats win and a steelers win today gives us the 7th seed going into week 17,

Obviously A win in Arrowhead gives the Steelers great position. I view that as snowballs chance. They have shown nothing to make me believe they are capable of beating a QB like Mahomes.

Agreed. If I'm being honest, I don't even see us beating the Ravens for a 2nd time. Pie in the sky scenarios aside, we will be lucky to earn 1 win in these last 3 games.

I'm forever optimistic.

Ben's record against KC is very damn good---7-2. No Kelce also helps tremendously because I'm throwing the kitchen sink at every KC RB coming out of the backfield. Adams will be a key to make this true.

I hope Mac Jones can pilot the *'s to beat the Bills and hopefully the Rats can beat the Bengals.

I hope not to drink too much today...

I have to chuckle at all the people that give us no chance to win today, but give scenarios to make the playoffs. What point is there in making the playoffs if we can't beat a team like the Chiefs anyway?

I'd say the most realistic scenario is for the Steelers to lose against KC and win against Cleveland and Baltimore with Cincinnati losing to Baltimore and KC before winning against Cleveland. Without Jackson or Huntley, I don't see the Bengals losing today anymore. Also, that tie against Detroit is really gonna kill us isn't it?

I think a lot of people would be happy to lose today and make the playoffs. If you thought at the end of last year that this team was gonna contend for a championship you were delusional to start.

Our best hope is for all of our opponents' best players to be out with the 'Rona.
Had the chance to watch other games this week and a lot of teams are a lot better than we are.

Obviously without a legit QB playing today.
Ya think! That’s one of the reasons I made my statement. That and the Bengals have the best personnel in the division.Bengals win the division wild cards I think will be the red hot Colts, up and down Chargers, and either the Bills or Pats.

The Steelers are just not a good enough team to be in the playoffs. They are in the lower half of mediocrity in both talent and coaching. All teams and I mean all teams go through such cycles so if they want to say we don’t rebuild, fine, but that’s where we are.
It should be a busy off season with finding a QB, adding talent to the OL and DL, fixing the ILB position, adding CB talent. It won’t get all done in one off season but we can make a big dent with a solid draft and free agent acquisitions. My only regret is Ben goes out like this but if this is the worst the Steelers ever look in a rebuild, I’ll take it.

Yeah I agree but we all better realize that whoever wins the division or is the 7th seed isn't exactly a juggernaut. The Bengals........ really.

This is the most obvious scenario and would take some pretty wild results over the final three weeks to be anything other than this.

I believe both positions are totally delusional and void of reality. We don't have an offense that could even come close to keeping up with a high powered offense like the Chiefs, nor is our defense good enough to stop their run or pass attack. It would literally take a fluke such as Mahomes throwing 3+ picks or Chiefs fumbling away the ball a similar number of times. And then we have to capitalize by actually scoring! Head to head, we aren't anywhere in the same league as the Chiefs, or any other competitive playoff team. We're damn lucky that we're not well below .500, or at the bottom of the AFC at this point.

Bengals are a weird team. Statistically, they do not have any glaring weaknesses and often look like a legit contender, yet have weeks where they get blown out at home by the Browns and Chargers and lose to the Jets.

It's hard to trust them in the playoffs, but I would not be shocked if they made a run, especially if Burrow gets hot.

Yawn...every one of your posts has been negative. Tell us what you like about the team???

I just saw Mahomes face in warm ups (IMHO) the kid looks worried...
