MRI tomorrow on Pickett's knee but the early skuttlebutt from the coaches on the Steelers is that Pickett sufferred a Grade 1 MCL Sprain.....Could miss 1-3 weeks.

Hopefully if and when he returns to the Steelers starting QB job he has a new OC to work with. Matt Canada is absolute trash!

That’s better news than I expected. So with the bye coming up he misses what two games perhaps.
They ******* better get Canada out of here and do something with the playcalling duties. It sure as hell cannot be Tomlin, he wouldn’t know a play sheet if it hit him in his cool shades.
I still think you put a call into Todd Haley who I think can come in and settle things down at least for this season.
Hell, the Ravens changed the OC mid season a few years back and it worked ok for them.

Well that's good news if it's a low grade mcl. It will affect his lateral movement, but forward and back he will be good to go.

I ripped mine pretty good years ago,my knee swelled up like a grapefruit and the leg filled with blood from knee to groin. I was good to go in 6 weeks.

I'd probably still sit him until they iron this **** show out.

I watched the Jets do a half-roll with Zach Wilson. The play faked a run right, Wilson rolls left, and the center sprinted down the LOS to be Wilson's protector.

Two weeks in a row - two ******* weeks in a row - the Steelers have run the half-roll with Kenny having NO PROTECTION. None. It's as if they believe defenders will be so ******* mesmerized by Matt Canada's amazing trickeration and jet sweeps that they will be unable to go after an unprotected QB.

Turns out that is not the case.

I blame a lot on the Pittsburgh media… they are quite complicit when it comes to really sussing out where blame lies..

for YEARS people talked about Bob Nutting being a shady owner but it wasn’t really until that national expose that outed the Dodgers and Pirates for various shady bookkeeping that they ever even began to take it seriously… and even after that they mostly buy every team propaganda story they float…

Within a couple years of Dan Bylsma being hired, hockey knowledgeable people were griping about serious flaws in his systems.., yet it took several more years before the media really started suggesting that it wasn’t just player issues…

They always blame player execution because I don’t think they grasp the schematic philosophies that are failing…

I saw the Chiefs run a jet sweep tonight that got like 11 or 12 yards. Why did that work? Well it was in 4th quarter when their defense was gassed. And it was appropriate for down and distance. It wasn’t 1st or 2nd down on one of our first two possessions. **** Canaduh……and **** Tomlin.

Jet sweeps are a staple of modern offenses… but they work in an offense that isn’t predictable and overly conservative

Pittsburgh media does throw the players under the bus it seems. I remember Crosby and Malkin getting a lot of criticism during the Bylsma years. Winning a championship helps a coach to a degree. Especially if you are media savvy and use cliches.

I feel bad for Kenny. I don't think he is going to be our next great QB, but he is being set up for failure. Wish it wasn't due to injury, but sitting for a bit is better for him at this point. He is having his career ruined by Canada and Tomlin before it ever really gets started. It's sad.

What’s inevitably going to happen is they are going to replace the OC, QB, and Olcoach, but still get tge same results regardless of whom is brought in because the overall philosophy and goal of the O and D will remain unchanged…


We need an O that scores all game long … I not even upset with the D plan so much.. I bet it would work if we had a lead and didn’t play soft zone as soon as we got it…
