At least 18 people have been killed in several shootings in the French capital, Paris, as well as explosions at the Stade de France.

At least one man opened fire with an automatic gun at the Cambodge restaurant in the 11th district.

Liberation newspaper says four people have been killed. It also reports shootings elsewhere. There is no official confirmation.

An explosion is also reported to have targeted a bar near Stade de France, where France were hosting Germany.

Explosions in #Paris are now being reported as suicide bombers, however, unconfirmed at this time
 
France is 11th in the world in gun ownership per capita.

Lots of guns. Lots of extremists. Lots of race issues. Immigration issues and polarization.

It's unfortunate but when you mix those issues into a bucket, you're going to get incidents like this.

I'm not saying gun capita is the deciding factor. It's just one factor. To really fight these type of occurrences you have to tackle each issue above and try to correct the root causes in totality.

The American band "Eagles of Death Metal" were playing at the Bataclan, the Paris theater where the hostage situation is taking place


At least 26 people have been killed and several others wounded after multiple shootings and several explosions in Paris on Friday night.

Police have also confirmed an ongoing hostage situation at a rock concert at the Bataclan theatre in the 11th arrondissement

Bw ha ha ha ha ha ha. An organized terrorist attack and you want to blame it on legal gun ownership. Just a hunch genius but I'm guessing these guns weren't acquired through proper legal channels.

Is per capita bomb ownership high in France too? Maybe they need some new bomb laws. Oh wait, bombs are already illegal...how did they get these? I'm confused.

because anybody who owns a gun is a nut. It's only a matter of time before the gun makes a person go on a shooting spree.
