DHS releases new deportation rules in the wake of Obamas speech.
You wonder what the reaction would have been if Obama was forthright with the American people and mentioned that drug dealers and sex offenders were not a top deportation priority for illegals but rather subject to a " three strikes and you're out" type of policy.

Top priority considerations for deportation would be terrorists or those engaging in espionage....a lot of Mexican jihadists and suicide bombers I know.

To have been a law professor he sure forgets about the rule of law a lot.

What is most disturbing about this is that he has not been removed from the White House, and tar and feathered.

That is done with a very specific purpose and has been for many decades. By their nature, conservative reforms tend to be easily reversible. Retrenchment can always be superseded by increased spending on newly discovered necessities. Tax cuts can easily be replaced with increases, should the scale of spending or the vicissitudes of the business cycle so demand.

President Reagan quipped, is that “government programs, once launched, never disappear,” their enabling departments representing “the nearest thing to eternal life we’ll ever see on this earth.” Why did the president keep delaying Obamacare, despite his having no legal authority to do so? Because, by sheltering the law from the wrath of the electorate and ensuring that it could be entrenched within American life before anybody noticed that it had been sold under false pretenses, he could turn the conversation away from his own failures and toward the iniquity of those who would have repealed it before it was too late.

The sequence: Get the thing in; take whatever losses are necessary; shelter it from harm, legally or not; and then reap the benefits in the long-term. The strategy is an effective one. Which brings us, eventually, to the thorny question of Obama’s immigration edict.

All told, one cannot entirely blame him, for he knows full well that any reforms will be almost impossible for a future legislature or a future president to undo. What rational political outfit, one has to ask, is likely to spend the next few years irritating the direct and indirect beneficiaries of this change?

Obama understands these things, and he knows that, even if he is slapped down for having overreached, the important thing is that he gets his own way. If, as he seems to believe it to be, the president’s choice is between constitutional propriety and Hispanic voters’ long-term devotion to this party, he has an easy answer does he not?

Cheating helps to move the ratchet, and for some that’s all that really matters.

...and his formal title was "senior lecturer,"

Someday I really hope there is a massive revolt and Washington is overrrun by average normal Americans that want the best for the citizens of this once great land. If only they had a guiding document that they could follow that would allow for a safe, free, and prosperous country. And by prosperous country I mean the people, not the state.

Gotta go, that black Suburban is driving down my street again............

Indianapolis newspaper alters, then deletes racist Thanksgiving cartoon following complaints

Responding to criticism that a cartoon depicting undocumented immigrants coming through a window to share Thanksgiving dinner with a white family was racist, an Indiana newspaper edited out the stereotyped housebreaker’s mustache, ostensibly to make the cartoon seem less racist.

Eh, I'm over the PC bullshit. If it's true, then it's not racist. Don't like it, too bad, you'll get over it. But I do understand the newspaper wanting to actually sell newspapers.

Sorta a case of lying with statistics. A couple of those presidents were involved in major wars. And the great depression. But hey don't let that ruin the B-Rock narrative.

It isn't the number you moron. It's what they do. If Bush had 1000 EOs renaming bridges it isn't the same thing as BHO usurping his authority with ONE.
