The Pittsburgh Steelers thought they had their franchise quarterback ahead of the 2023 NFL season. Kenny Pickett had glowing reports written about him coming out of training camp, while looking flawless during the preseason. Obviously, the success didn't translate to the games that matter. Pickett struggled in his second season, and he found himself traded to the Philadelphia Eagles after the Steelers signed Russell Wilson. Shortly after, they traded for Justin Fields, manufacturing one of the more interesting quarterback rooms in the league.

Can we all just be real and understand that this Steeler team is going to start slow offensively? Last year junior whopper was in his second season in an elementary offensive scheme, of course he looked great. Now, we have two new QB's under a new OC with an NFL level offensive playbook. So, of course the QB's are going to miss reads and play at a slower level as they think through the defensive reads.
