Best part is whenever they get a bad injury they fold like a cheap suit. Tampa is battling without their top three receivers. Great platitude Mike.

Until the last 30 seconds TB scored 6 points and GB scored and won w/ 14. TB had <300 yrds of offense and GB only had 315. The mighty chiefs offnse only put up 17 in a loss to the colts and Buffalo put up 17 in a loss. If you look around the league seems a lot of good teams struggled this week.

The Steelers are not one of them. They are no where near a good team.

The point was these powerhouse teams are putting up similar or even worse stats than the steelers. I am not excusing the terrible offense and some things are not defensible like pretending the middle of the field is a black hole, but offenses w/ better coaching and HOF QBs are struggling. The offense can be there, but to me the defense is a bigger concern. For me the offense is execution / bad playcalling, but on D it seems we are just getting manhandled. If we cant win match ups on D no coaching can help.

Well when you play with 10 cause the ILB won't take his gap and the coach leaves him in there. Yeah. I'd say that's partly coaching too.

I guess we need some context here...is this a drunk rant???

Those who are drunk must state so within their first 4 sentences............................ incase of double vision that would be 6

That is not quite fair to Bush.....he did take his gap, just 4-5 yards off the LOS, where he patiently waited for Chubb to run over him. But he got credit for the tackle, so it looks good to those who didn't watch the game or to those who didn't watch Bush standing still waiting for Chubb over and over again.

Last year he probably would have ran away or hid behind someone else. Baby steps.....

Maybe he will lean forward against the Jests

You know since I'm only a JV HC and DC I thought ok well this is the NFL. As hard as it was to consider I did momentarily think maybe he has different responsibilities. No I watched yesterday. He us just ****** useless. Lots of ILB making plays at the LOS and even behind. This literally tells me everything I need to know about CMT. He doesn't know what the **** he is doing. No one who does would say that is acceptable.

My son took his first few exhibition game snaps at ROLB in their 3-4 (usually plays LDE) and he did well filling the gap. We talked after the game and he said " I could remember you rewinding the Steeler game with Bush just waiting to get hit, so I wanted to get forward to make the hit"
It's not that hard of a concept, and I'm not a football coach and its been a while since I've been to the Holiday Inn Express.....

I was in the Bush thread saying give the guy a chance. I said about 4 weeks to see if he has improved. I think he has, but that isn't saying much from last year. But there are no big plays. No momentum changing plays. It is time to see what else you have. Robinson may make some mistakes, but at least he will be aggressive, a trait this team very much needs.

And dammit, I'm rooting for the guy. I want him to do well because it will benefit the team. But I'm not seeing a consistent aggressiveness you need to see at that position. And I am focusing on him because I was here spouting off to give him a chance.

Yeah. Some of these "powerhouse" teams have a bad game. Two bad games. Sure. What is our excuse? How many seasons has our team looked like crap? Simply our coaching sucks. Game in and game out. Season after season. Ben covered up a bunch of warts over the years but even he couldn't get the team over the hump when it matter under Tomlin and his **** show of a staff. In the end you have to look at ownership. Are they happy simply bringing in the $$$$$? Perhaps.

Like exactly hey. Hammer not the nail. What is the point standing there watching where he will go five yards down the field. Fill your gap. If everyone fires into the gap and sits you got a wall. I would seriously love to be in film and have Tomlin explain this.
P.S. congrats to your son. We are in the last season with our youngest. Goes by very fast. Hoping for a second city title and possibly a provincial in his second year as a starter on the Varsity squad.
