In a draft with plenty of depth on the defensive line, the Steelers could be looking to bolster their own at the position.

I’m thinking there’s a good chance that if the Steelers stay at #20, the BPA will be a DL.

i think if they stay at @20, it'll be a CB. We run sub package sets on defense something like 75% of the time, and there are only 2 Dlinemen on the field then(which I'm totally against), not sure they'd spend on #20 on a guy that's not going to see the field alot.

I agree. The depth of DL talent in this draft is very rare, so a good D-lineman will be there at 20. A guy like Lawrence in years past was unlikely to fall to 20 in most prior years, but in this draft it is all but guaranteed he is there at 20.

I don't see it...a DL at 20?

pass

I was just thinking about this because steelers usually draft a guy has fallen in the draft because usually we are drafting in the bottom of the round. what if a guy like Simmons from miss state falls or Taylor OT Florida or Williams OT from Alabama falls or the dude from Florida state at OLB??? not positions of need but good players that would start down the road. I'm in the group that thinks we are but a couple guys away from going all the way but hell I think that every year! I do believe we should always draft "steeler" guys and most those guys qualify. this is a big draft to my mind with all the bad mojo floating around out there, all the **** talkers talking, browns reloading, ben another year older. funny how the world works I think all the negative **** gets turned around and we run the table. juju and Connor have monster years, Washington and Samuels blow everyone away, ben has a hof year 40+ tds, defense has a good year, butler and Tomlin finally figure things out. but to my mind it all starts with this draft. SUPERBOWL teams are build in March and April. not a bad free agency haul so far lets see about the draft GOOOO STEEEELEtSSSS!!!

The Florida State OLBer is Brian Burns. Great speed for an OLB'er, good production at FSU, big guy (6'5", 250 lbs.) who relies on speed rush but who also showed a pretty good spin move on a couple of sacks last year.

In looking over some limited film, I like how he holds his position on the DE, does not abandon the edge to make plays, contains the ballcarrier or QB before going after him, and shows some very good bend on the speed rush outside. With his combination of size, 4.53 40 speed, decent technique, and promising spin move, I think he could turn into a solid OLB'er and very good pass rusher in the NFL.

ya burns be tough to pass over and Hakeem butler wr, at 6-6 4.4 how does Colbert, one of the best wr experts in the nfl, pass on him??? imagine ben throwing to him?? its going to be a wild draft!!! geez us
