Ive seen some article praising the play of Broderick Jones in last game. Many believe he is ready to go and play at LT.

That said... COULD the steelers move Moore to another spot. Would he be better at RT and pull Chuks?

OR

Might they slide him over to guard and move Daniels to center. ?

Will they change anything?

Your thoughts.

I think they might move Moore over to RT but we shall see. They really seem reluctant to start any of these rookies..

IMHO---Move Herbig to center and keep Moore as a "6th man" that can play inside or outside..

Believe me...he will get plenty of PT the rest of the season, and having a very capable swingman on the Line goes a longgggg way..

Might not be a bad idea. Herbig already is getting his feet wet. This wouldn't cause two interior changes which helps stability...

Chuks is not very good. He sucked at LT when Moore replaced him and he is barely servicable at RT. I have a picture from the game (but can't figure out how to actually post it) that shows KP with a nice pocket. Each man had his guy accept Chuks. KP had to get rid of the ball right then or Chuks was going to have to hold his man from behind as he had gotten around him. I hope Moore works at RT during the offseason and can beat out Chuks next year. Then we can focus on getting a C. Our top pick or two still needs to be on D.

You might not have to wait that long. When Broderick is inserted they have a tough decision to make...

I would be shopping Chucks right now. The best case would be a good young C for him and a lower pick if needed.

Lol.....a good young center and a lower pick. We talk about how much he sucks and you think someone will trade us a GOOD young center and a low draft pick to boot. Why settle for a low draft pick? Get a #1 pick for him along with that good young center. Make it happen Omar!!!!

ONLY coooch could pull that off.

I interpreted as MT-forged was trading Chucks and a low round pick for a good young center———

Salute the nation

I don’t expect that someone trades a starting good young C, but I am sure there are a few out there waiting behind vets or on a PS.

If I recall Moore was getting work at RT when Jones was getting reps at LT in training camp. I'd say there's a good chance of this happening when practices resume next week.

I wouldn't mind a change at C too.

Right now he's worth a Reuben sammich and a side of Cole slaw.

But is it a good reuben and cole slaw? :)

But, seriously (and not being intended to be responsive directly to the xjx post), Moore was questionable and held his own against some of the best in weeks 1-3 and did ok in 4. On the other side, Chucks was just outright bad against NOT the top 1-3 and week 4-5 looked worse in many ways. At times, particularly when the run was away from his side, he exerted little effort. Other times he was barely holding on. I know the Steelers paid Chuks but I would switch to Moore on the right as soon as he is ready to go.

On Cole, I don't think a great option is out there in trade. I would take back, and will get killed for this choice, Hassenhauer (yeah, I spelled that wrong) or a similar level player for this year. All of that being said, Cole has been hot and cold this year. All things being what they are, I am just hoping he can be hot more than not.

Also, absent an amazing trade, Center, CB, ILB, DL and Safety all remain big draft points next year.

When is the last time the Steelers traded someone in season, who was not a malcontent and who they obviously still valued?

Play the rookies light in the first part of the season, then they don't hit the wall late in the season when we need them the most
