It should also come as no surprise when the Patriots on a regular basis:
A) Go into the half down 2 or 3 touchdowns, then come roaring back on a 28-0 run in the 2nd half of the game....and they win
AND / OR
B) Their defense gives up 300 yards and 21 points before halftime, then comes out and mysteriously plays like the '78 Steel Curtain after halftime....and they win
The commentators always go on and on about how BIll B is a genius at adjustments. In actuality they both are able to happen for the same reason....multiple times a season. The coaching staff is able to get together at halftime and sort through every signal, play call and audible they were able to intercept via illegal radio equipment and then use it to put together the strategy for the 2nd half. Of course by strategy, I mean they now know what every audible and signal the current opposing team is using in the week's game plan and hence are suddenly able to call the perfect play on offense or perfect coverage on defense just about every play. Simple. It's why they always look like a completely different team after halftime when they start out like garbage.
I also think it is widely known that they do this by every other organization....which is why they are universally despised across the league.
