Many here didn't think we'd make a non-losing season, yet alone the playoffs. We are ONLY the 4th team ever to enter the playoffs on a 4-game skid. ADD IN ( I read this morning) that our all-world kicker, the BOZ is on the injury report, listed as illness. Hope like hellA he can recover by Saturday night.
----- Our fear-less Coach has admittedly stated that we ran the football because that's our personality, WTF is that? There is a lot of negativities surrounding Coach cool shades and it's at the wrong time of play. We don't need all this going into our playoff game. 4th in rushing attempts, 26th in rushing production......... hmmmmmm.
----- Positives, we play the rats pretty tough as we split with them during the regular season. We have some healthy players coming back, and hope that will make a difference. My fear is that this team & coaching staff (including HC) have been so far removed from winning a playoff game that they will look for a way to lose.
----- Lots of pressure coming from fans, ownership, media, who will be satisfied in the end?

Our beloved STEELERS will go out there and make it a very "heart detailed" game, hoping for the win regardless of the journey. Coolie, have your nitroglycerin ready and wife / kids rehearsed in how to administer it...............................

Latest antic : Last night I left to pick up chick to take her out to supper ( in the LUXURY S10) I get a couple cell phone calls and one required a lot of attention (work related), ended calls and tossed phone down into passenger seat (as usual). It was dark and my mind busy on the related call subject. I get to a stop sign and clutch it...... coasting / braking to a stop. I go to shift into 1st and can't get shifter to accept. I rattle it and shake it but to no avail, thinking maybe the linkage to trany came lose or wedged......... I( manage to pull a U-turn while in 5th gear and ease headed back home. I clutched and rattled the shifter and finally turned dome light on...... There it was, my cell phone had fallen wedged in the weirdest way to stop the shifting from happening. Removed it an WhoAlah, everything worked and the date was still on. Whole episode only cost me about 3 minutes and an out-right hard laugh at myself.

Being able to laugh at yourself is a very strong trait to have, add in that some of the best laugh occur over some of the stupidist things...............

Expect a dismal, disappointing loss. You don't change your entire season philosophy when you reach the playoffs. More of the same and a 33 -17 loss so we do better than last time. Fields is 3 / 5 for 20 yards - if he throws at all. We have 2 defensive takeaways. No, at least during his coaching years. Two shifter stories - had a 1960 Belair with three on the tree - leaned on the shifter and got it stuck in first gear. Had to get home at no more than 30 mph till I figured out how to get it unstuck. Story 2: 2002 Camaro with a 6 speed and a hydraulic clutch that failed. I was able to make it within about a mile of home but had to stop for a light and a left turn. Could not downshift into first with the engine running since the clutch pedal did nothing. Stopped engine, shifted into first, hit the starter, and the car jumped forward and was able to get home in first gear.

Imagine your surprise the next morning seeing a picture of you standing next to Elliot Spitzer with a handicap look on your face.
 
I really don't know how to pick this game. my heart and love for this team says we beat the brakes off of them but then common sense sets in and I see a really really bad *** whoppin coming our way.

If you pick the Steelers no matter what as I do, you will always have a .500 record or better - at least while Tomlin is the coach. LOL. Then again, that's only for the regular season.
 
Drink, in the interests of providing some severely needed good fortune to the black n gold, I’m not making a prediction this time.
I’ve not only been wrong the last four games picking the Steelers, I haven’t even been close.
Here’s to holding back this week to try and provide some luck for this team.

Yes. You met him in a dentist's reception area as he was there to have his spitting tooth nozzle re-adjusted to spray outwards as it's supposed to. You were able to carry on a conversation and get your picture as the air was relatively dry coming from Cowher's direction.:ROFLMAO:

To have a coach like this again....If wishes were horses then dreamers would ride.


I can't pick against our guys no matter what the situation, while at the same time having almost 0% faith they stand a chance. And that's nothing I place at the feet of the players, but the staff?...yeah.

You said good “mourning” (expressing sadness or sorrow) rather than “morning”.

Could this be what is known as a Freudian Slip?
An unintentional comment triggered by your subconscious feelings or thoughts.

You strongly feel that a loss is inevitable and the sadness that follows, so you said “mourning” rather than morning without realizing it.

Or are you just bad at spelling? LOL
