OK draftnicks - thoughts on this guy?

I like him. Trade down with Miami and then take him. I have no prob with that.

Bleeder is right - that is some horrible music. I like Fuller. Gil Brandt has been predicting that Fuller will be the Steelers' pick at 15.

If Dennard is gone then Fuller makes perfect sense in RD 1

This kid's highlights (averaged against his lowlights) make him the best 'fit' talent for what we generally look for in a DB, IMO. SOme others are better 'blankets' or better in run support but he offers very good potential at both attributes PLUS he still has some room to get better/stronger too.

Wow this is the first time I seen him play, he has good hands and is a big hitter. I am thinking he would be one hell of a pick for us at 15.

I know San Fran wants to trade up, but rumor is that the Rats are talking to them. Why not us? I wish Tombert and Co. would be more aggressive sometimes. Maybe they are...who knows. Someone like Roby could be there at 1.30...maybe even Fuller.

If not San Fran...Miami is such an easy one. As long as Martin or Lewan are there for our pick we can easily get a 3rd rounder from Miami.

My dream on draft night is for us to trade down with arizona and pick up an extra 3rd and take kyle fuller at 1.20.

1. Kyle Fuller CB
2. Jordan Matthews WR
3. Demarcus Lawrence OLB
3comp. Antonio Richardson OT
4. Josh Mauro DE
5. Victor Hampton CB
5comp. Justin Ellis NT
6. Richard Rogers TE
6comp. Johnathan Brown WR
7. Ladarius Perkins RB

Plus: His closing speed is sick, not afraid of contact, hugely versatile.
Minus: He gets caught out of position (you can actually see in the video), jumping routes, and he look thin to me. He has the athletic ability to get away with it in college but he will need to change some of what he does to be consistent in the NFL.

My conclusion: 2nd best DB in the draft. If we get him without trading up I would be ecstatic.

Dennard at 1.15 unless trading down gets you get an offer you can't refuse

take him at 15, he is 3 on mayock's 3 but I think he is a more complete CB than Gilbert.

Fuller is def more polished than Gilbert. Dennard and Fuller, even Roby, fit our style and scheme better. Gilbert is faster and more athletic.

If we target a CB I personally feel we should move back into the 20's. IMHO Gilbert is the best but not exceptionally better and you can take Dennard, Fuller, and Roby are whatever your flavor is. All ranked pretty much the same to me.

The guy I like is Stanley Jean-Baptiste. 6-3 218lbs 4.45-4.55 forty. Then even later round guys are EJ Gaines, Ricardo Allen, and Louchiez Purifoy for 4th or later guys. In my opinion the difference between EJ Gaines and Dennard is minimal.

I also like Victor Hampton in rds 3-5. The guy hits like a mack truck and has good instincts. Pretty decent ball skills as well.
Would definitely add some swagger to the DB position.

If he could stay out of trouble. Hampton is a SC guy. Many hear have heard me defend Clowney. I want no part of Hampton. He can play some, but I think he is trouble waiting to find a place to happen.

I know he has had a couple issues, but wasn't aware of anything serious Tom.

Hampton attended 4 different high schools in 4 years. He was kicked off the football team his senior season (causing Florida to back off their commitment to him). He was arrested for drinking on school premises two days after signing with South Carolina. He redshirted, was kicked off the team during the summer for violation of team rules. His parents met with Spurrier and a conduct contract was implemented, getting him back on the team. He was suspended by Spurrier for 3-games. He was suspended for the first half of the season opener this year for violation of team rules. He was just cleared of any issues this week for a fight in New York. Police sought Hampton and Quarles for questioning. Quarles and Hampton met with police and have been cleared, but I do believe he was there and was involved in some type of altercation (according to the other man's attorney, Hampton started it....according to Hampton and witnesses, the other man started it). Hampton and his sister have also been recently arrested because the two of them were arguing in the yard (in Columbia). When the police arrived, they would not quit, ended up being arrested for disorderly conduct.

Knucklehead. Just continues to show a pattern of behavior, basically a "I will do as I please" mentality. I just do not want a guy like that.....
