even Tomlin called it an embarrassment after the game

Can anyone give any justifiable reason for stopping play with seconds left to review that play?

the only possible reason is "oh ****, they are not going to be able to spike this in time....hurry review that play"

add to that the ******* bullshit fumble call on Ben

Granted no other QB really pump fakes like him, but have any of you EVER ******* seen that type of play called a fumble??

**** the Steelers are lucky as **** to get out with that win

**** the ******* refs

and Yeah, I've had a little to drink

How in the hell is that not an incomplete pass when the ball was going forward on the pump when he lost it? I know the tuck rule has been removed, but it wasn’t a forward lateral. Gheez.

Plus why no penalty (which would have ended the game) when the WR spotted the ball. Only the line judge can spot the ball, the player has to hand it to the ref to continue play to the next snap.

It was an incomplete pass. Just ask Tom Brady......aaaand the clock ran out. Game over.

They had the play clock and spike on the big screen here at the stadium and the clock was clearly at zero with the ball still on the ground in the centers hand. The refs saying they stopped the clock at 3 seconds was not well received. Couple that with Renegade not being played and held until overtime really makes me think this **** may be scripted.

Yep, and had that happened, time would've expired. So the line judge decided to gave Seattle a break and allowed the WR to spot the ball, "about a yard away from the correct spot too" And of course on the next play after the spike during the tying FG play, the refs move the ball forward to the correct spot.

Should be interesting to hear what Dad has to say about it.

Refs were horrible in all games again. It is a complete embarrassment. There were countless bad and no calls in the Chiefs game. Then in the Cowgirls and Cheats game, I hate both teams but hate the Cowgirl fans who talk more smack than everyone when their team wins a few but disappear when they go back to their losing ways. Anyway, it's OT and the Cheats have the ball on 3rd down. Ball is thrown and I sure thought it was PI in normal motion. Then, they show it in slow motion and not only was it PI but the defender grabbed the Cheats WR facemask - so 2 penalties in one. This was right so 2 officials had clear view. It was in New England. Nothing called. This would have put the Cheats damn near in FG range. Dallas gets the punt and wins the game. There we examples in every game. It's just horrible how bad they are and keep getting.

To add to the Metcalf fumble...what was Wilson doing on the field ? The play was still going on Wilson is on the field yelling at the Hags WR who recovered the fumble to get up..where was the penalty for that in all of your replay watching.

I loved Ben's description in the post-game presser. He said something like: I was told that the ball was going forward while my hand was going backward. Josh Dobbs is an aerospace engineer so I asked him if that was possible. He said it wasn't. You can't fine me, because I was just saying what Dobbs told me.

Wasn't this the exact same play against Washington last year? Alex Smith takes the ball with him and the refs stop time to set the ball???

The officiating gets worse and worse.. on that Metcalf catch and fumble. The officials didn't even spot the football.
They allowed the Seahawks to run over themselves and spot the ball and spike it. I've never seen that in any football game ever.

Not to mention, Russel Wilson running onto the field during a live play to tell the players to spike the ball lol.. I mean that's a blatant penalty.

The league is an embarrassment for these garbage calls week in and week out.

If you notice on the forward pass/fumble. The refs are saying something and Seattle coach tells them I want it reviewed bam fumble. Ben's arm is still going forward even when the ball is dropped...How many time would Brady get a fumble call. How about Watt flagged for trying to hammer out the ball yet the officials were blind when Bush recovers the fumble and Metcalf does the same thing three times no flag. In this day of NFL pushing gambling there were a few times that you could say yep there it is. Watt just screwed it up as mentioned before

The review was absurd. There is no reason for the refs to give a team a free time out in that situation. The play was obvious on the field.

Pure and utter incompetence on several levels, still wondering how we escaped with that one...what a **** show the “officiating” has become. No doubt in my mind if they miss the FG to tie in regulation that they would’ve flagged someone smiling about it for taunting and gave the hags another shot...embarrassing is too polite a term for that display.

Just out of curiosity, what was the line for the game?
