This has to be one of the worst oline we have had in a very long time. I’m not just talking about one position but the whole unit. I think maybe green would be salvageable at guard but I sure hope he isn’t the long term answer at center. Hell I will take a beaten up Decastro at this point. You know it’s bad when Chucks has been the best guy of the bunch.

Funny how video works. They came out of the gate brutal but really seemed to get a hell of a lot better. Then teams start to see the holes. Hang wouldn't normally block Bosa. You could see why.

We absolutely should have been able to run on them last night but our biggest problem was the D. Anytime your O scores 37, you should win. The D, even with the injuries, should have been able to adjust (a foreign concept to Tomlin and Butler) and make some stops in the 2nd half, and especially not give up a 50+ yard reception to lose the game.

As I pointed out on another thread, any O'line will struggle when defenses are constantly stacking the line. Canada seems to have no answer for it like quick dump offs, instead we see Najee running into a brick wall and Ben getting clobbered.

Team are sitting on the short route knowing Ben won't have time for longer routes to develop. It is why we have been throwing the 50/50 ball a bunch.

For years the Steelers have been using high round picks prioritizing receivers for Ben, it’s time they start using those picks on OL for Najee.

Our offensive line isn't good and at a time when we should start to see our rookie linemen improving, they're playing poorly. Moore and Green have the chance to improve as time goes on, but both have a long way to go. Also, one area we will not see improvement from is Green's anchor. He's just built too small and he'll have to depend on function strength if he doesn't want to get dominated by the power rush.

I think a possibility is next season move both Dan Moore and Green to RT and RG respectively. Draft or sign a FA Center to anchor the OL. Big Dot back at LG. FA LT.

The problem is Green still isn’t going to be able to move guys at guard. They drafted a guy who will always be limited with his size.

Yeah, run on them would require running plays,................... soething Canada lacks in. This offense is having so much trouble at about everything, slow the game down and run the BALL.

18 running plays against the #32 ranked run defense

48 passing plays, great balance and extorting of the run

PS

How do you keep your deffense off the field...................... time consuming running plays and 1st downs, not passing short of the markers or bombs away on 3rd & 2.

The other part of the equation is the Steelers were down big and had to throw more. Also, even though the Chargers are bad at defending the run, the Steelers are also bad at running it--tied for 29th in YPC.

I hear yaz but they never did commit to the run, even to start the game. They dug the hole to start by NOT kicking the FG and couldn't recover from there. Had they taken the FG, they could have committed a little more to the run along the way. It may have turned out they had to pass but a ball control early game could have changed a little outcome.

saw an article elsewhere suggesting that not even hitting the weight room is going to make Kendrick Green better. His issue is size.

so I looked at the Saints PS, since they have Will Clapp at 6-4, 315 sitting there for the taking.

Contrast and compare:

Will Clapp

Over-inflated Ewok
