Yes, yes, I could. He sounds like he is speaking Shades' words. Perfect "yes man" for the job, no mystery why Tomlin went with him. Spoke of not making turnovers within 2 sentences of the QB - already parroting Tomlin speak early. Funny that he spoke of the "humility of coach Noll" and how the Steeler logo stood for the humbleness of Chuck Noll. Well, Shades doesn't stand for any of that. I guess he missed the dancing in the locker room after a win, or the "kiss" given to the crowd as the visiting team after a win. Not all that much "humility" in those Tomlin moves. Can you ever see Chuck Noll race out of an interview if someone asked about his contract? Like he was above even being asked about it? No way.
Yes, yes, I could.
The problem is, what does Art ll consider "make or break" or "enough"? One playoff win? AFC Championship game (win or lose), Super Bowl (win or lose), Super Bowl win? 'Cause we know that Tomlin has at least 3 more years if they give him the extension.NICE find Steelmann, thanks for posting this and for all your great post(s) along the way.
I `think we have a bonafide OC here. He definitely knows NFL offense, both the run and the pass. I think he nailed this interview.
I think his experience, Art 2’s desired direction Tomlin VS playoff wins, all will culminate into a positive for this Franchise. I’m not saying coaching is instantly fixed, but with this hire, it’s make or break for Coach Tomlin.
Salute the nation
I'd put you on ignore but I just can't wait to see what BS you're going to come up with next.He sounds like he is speaking Shades' words. It's been about a week since I pulled the trigger, and it has just been so much nicer since. I can continue to retain my brain cells nowI'd put you on ignore but I just can't wait to see what BS you're going to come up with next.
But my finger is on the trigger![]()
My take from Deuce’s presser is that this will be Shades’ last contract if he doesn’t make a deep playoff run.I think his experience, Art 2’s desired direction Tomlin VS playoff wins, all will culminate into a positive for this Franchise. Ummm, yea, just a TADDDDDD different in demeanor I'd say. Just a tad, but who's counting? Noll smiling and laughing, Shades not so much. But other than that, exactly the same.lol- yeah but other than that

And you've got to wonder if just one semi-deep run would do it? What if he wins playoff game and then that's it. Nothing more? This current team, the way it's constructed, the "team culture." Like Ben and some other x-players have noted, I don't think they have that same Steeler soul. Can it be found with the Tomlin way? With the same "yes man" structure we've been experiencing? With a team built on bravado minus humility? With a team hell bent on winning 13-10? Just how far can a team averaging 17 PPG go?My take from Deuce’s presser is that this will be Shades’ last contract if he doesn’t make a deep playoff run.
You got it, buddy. Everyone needs to laugh.man you are comedy gold. keep posting please. I can use the laughs

I mean not that I’m defending Tomlin here.......but what OC wouldn’t consider this one of the most important things to teach a QB. The Turnover battle is huge. Correct me if I’m wrong Neil 3 interceptions Troy 0,in a certain SB.Spoke of not making turnovers within 2 sentences of the QB -
Yes, absolutely. If Shades wins one game that playoff clock resets. If he wins 3 playoff games in the next 13 years, Deuce will think that’s great. And you've got to wonder if just one semi-deep run would do it? What if he wins playoff game and then that's it. Nothing more?

Ben 2 interceptions, Aaron 0........in another certain SB. We would have won both without them. This is not just a Tomlin thing. It’s common sense.

And when a QB is averaging less than a TD per game the turnovers, or lack there of, are even more importantI mean not that I’m defending Tomlin here.......but what OC wouldn’t consider this one of the most important things to teach a QB. Very true. This is his sink or swim offseason and he knows it. I would imagine we will see the best of what he has to offer. And when a QB is averaging less than a TD per game the turnovers, or lack there of, are even more important
